I don't care how many glitches there are in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, I was enthralled by the story progression, especially with the depth and personalities of the characters. Nemona, using the starter weak against the players on purpose, to see if we can match and surpass her in battle prowess. Arven, and his reasons behind his sour attitude at first, being his Mabosstiff being injured by ancient/future Pokemon, and how he didn't see his parents, the professors, in 10 years. Penny, and all of Team Star, and how they consider their friendship as their greatest treasure, and their desire to fight back against their bullies in fheir flashbacks. This has got to be on par with Gen 4 and 5 in terms of lore and story, and I love it, an 10 out of 10 for me!

When I first got Pokemon Violet I wanted to find my favorite pokemon Baxcalibur, so after being set free to explore, I went straight to where Frigibax spawns and after searching for a while, I not only found a Frigibax for my pokedex but I found a shiny Frigibax as well and it has since then been a permanent part of my team. It took me a solid 10 hours of hunting to find it considering the fact that shiny encounter sandwichs and the shiny charm were not accessible at that point in the game

Agreed. At first I didn't plan on using it on my first playthrough team, but when I replaced Varoom with Tinkatink, I needed a poison type. I threw Clodsire back on the team like, "Eh, you'll do until I find something better." And then I kept him for the rest of the playthrough. He was tied with my shiny Kilowattrel for the third best on my team. Tinkaton and Annihilape were my A team, but Clodsire pulled his weight.

Found a lot of shinies on my first playthrough (in both Scarlet and Violet). Violet got Fletchling in the first thirty minutes and my Jumpluff in Area Zero. Scarlet found a Golduck while looking for a Roaring Moon for Pokedex. A Girafarig, Great Tusk and Zwelious in Area Zero, hunting for all with a sandwich. Just recently played Violet again on other switch and found a shiny Sneasel.

Simply put; this is the most fun and actual _Adventuring_ I've had in a Pokémon game since gen3. It's amazing We can get to hear stories like yours and others - and they're all virtually unique in their little or large way. I'll never forget the thrill of catching 2 Lv40 Pokémon on my way to Alfornada doing a massive trek via a precarious cliff path; all with 0 Gym badges!

Eri is the only person in the entire main story to have ever defeated me. That’s pretty wild. And fortunately/unfortunately for you: I got my first shiny less than an hour into the game. As soon as I left my house and went down the hill with Nemona after getting my starter I got a shiny Psyduck. I have since also caught shiny Rellor, and shiny Dunsparce (just before fighting Sada and finishing the story a couple nights ago). If it’s any consolation, the Dudunsparce I evolved it into is the standard 2 segment, not 3.

I've realised that Director Clavell was born back in Hisui times, as he states that he used to write his pokedex entries down, and if you pay enough attention, and have Pokemon Legends : Arceus, if you open up your pokedex in the game, you'll see it's lots of sheets of paper bound together by strings, so Director Clavell really is old :P

Fun Fact: It's actually possible to get climbing before gliding on Koraidon/Miraidon, since the abilities are tied to the different Herba Mysticas, and are not in a set order.

I knew this, because I did this in my playthrough. I couldn't beat the great tusk because almost all of my team was weak to ground and/or fighting so I just went "screw it" and did the tatsugiri/dondozo

It's okay, Mikey, my Sprigatito was shiny in the cutscene + walk to Nemona's house (but since theyre shiny locked and generated when you actually select them, I lost him.) I had to hatch like 500 eggs for it back

I played this game without looking at leaks or datamines and I will always appreciate how the game reveals the new evos by adding them to story teams. My first time ever seeing Annihilape was against Eri, and it floored me that they gave Primape a new evo.
