Under the hood this seemingly 'simple' game is quite complex. I'm afraid Nasa would be needed if you would build and play an entirely custom rpg with this game. If wished would come true though... I would play that forever.

This is the most awesome and coolest game i've ever seen my entire life. I'm pretty sure there will be games that will be released in the future that's inspired by this game and it's mechanics. What a groundbreaking game and it's crazy that only 2 people built this game.

Exatcly! I used other 3D landscape programs like Metacreations Bryce 3D and E-On Vue...but the render times in those were unbearable, nothing worked in real-time like this. One could get a more detalied landscape but you didn't have this kind of flexibility, everything got ruined by render times and you didn't have a perpetually animated scene, like in this. These two persons who programmed this are totally brilliant, from another world, lol.

This is a really amazing build, but also makes me sad that I don't have this level of creativity and imagination. Not to mention the patience and skill it took to get all the precise layering and manipulations JUST right. I only got this game a few days ago and am only just starting to understand the most basic of building fundamentals.
@Aetila4 күн бұрын
But in time the skills will come, if you study when they do, it takes years to develop this kind of creativty. I guess there are many Minecraft players who build in TG. It's crazy how fast they learned everything...or maybe they had the demo very early.

how do you usually go about doing builds this big in your head? im trying to make a huge build but after a while im finding myself overwhelmed at putting the pieces together lmao
@craftingclasher3791Ай бұрын
Can't speak for him but I kind of like to make a rough layout (in my head, on paper, with walls, just whatever works best for you). Just follow along your layout but don't be too strict about it. Just add or takeaway as needed. If you can't get a section to look right, just go and work on something else and come back to it later. I find that not overly planning makes the towns feel more natural.
@MasterSorezАй бұрын
@@craftingclasher3791 Yeahh i struggle with perfectionism that makes things look... fake due to lack of roughness and looseness, really makes it hard to just let loose lol
@craftingclasher3791Ай бұрын
@@MasterSorez Yeah, I often struggle with it as well. I tend to make very organized streets and rows of buildings, which works in a more modern setting but doesn't really fit the medieval theme. I also found that having a lot of changes in elevation help me keep my builds more random because I have to work around the terrain. I also like to connect structures at neat 90 degree angles but this is honestly not that good. I have found that in a lot of cases connecting structures at weird angles makes some pretty cool and unique buildings.

@princessofthecape2078Ай бұрын
It's nice. But the game itself is just boring and pointless. A castle's function is people - it's a residence, a stronghold, a gathering place, and a strategic defensive emplacement. This game in no way reflects that - you just build these hollow structures that never get attacked, lived-in, or serve any real purpose. Even Lego and Minecraft castles arguable have more point than what we do in Tiny Glade.
@craftingclasher3791Ай бұрын
I mean it depends on your perspective. From the end use standpoint you are correct. However, from the perspective of an architect or engineer the building itself is what is interesting. This game would definately be boring to anyone more interested in combat rather than constuction.
