I love how the minimalistic approach to this game at the design level just means that gamers are going to have to find creative ways of being super involved, like how you created each wood plank from a fence on a road. Love the video!

Thats what I love most about this game! Even at the earliest/minimal etages of detail, it still looks so nice! The reward of playing is getting back 10x the result for the effort put into it thanks to how gorgeously designed everything is. Also, it was very neat seeing the more specific methods you used to add details in the "pro" categories. Thank you for showing us your work!

I wish there was a bare wood texture for walls in the paint tool. I also wish there was an option to put thick vines and/or cracks and patches on buildings to give them an almost ruin-like appearance

Despite the concept being a jape, I actually love the idea of showing a similar build concept with varying levels of detail and how long each took, it gave me lots of inspiration! I'd love to watch more

@@AnnevaLily thanks... Thats what i was going for. And im happy to see that most people get it and get some inspiration out of it. That's all i wanna achieve, inspire people to build more in this beautiful game. Yeah with the time it's sometimes just how long do you wanna spend on a build. I usually am lazy so I won't detail like this in a actual build. Sometimes the simpler things are just what you need and sometimes they even look better.

@@private1177 I agree! I think you showed well how even something "quick" can look really lovely, but also showcased techniques you can use if you want to get really deep into detail on one building. Perhaps calling it something like "1 min vs 10 mins build" or similar would help avoid the trolls, but I think most people did take it the intended way. Some improved game mechanics yes. But why on earth multiple selections and copy paste? You're spending money on a game which has no other purpose than relaxation... and you want to speed it up? What for, more efficiency while relaxing? Faster contemplation? Time saving while dulling?

@@dbx3569 If you have one, just don't use it. This tool would help you create items that are the same size. There are times when, at least for me, it gets frustrating having to get the exact size of something right.

I feel like you're going the wrong direction with this. In a game like this, the story in your head decides the kind of build you will go for. The game is designed to make every build look beautiful. None of the designs are noob/pro designs. The tiny cottage in the beginning is as beautiful and fitting as the mansion towards the end.

But it's a great way to show off different things how you can detail buildings and use the games features. People just need to learn that they don't need to take everything serious 😉

I see videos like this more like "tips and tricks" on how to make buildings stand out more, you can use all these different "levels" of buildings in the same scene, i wouldnt say its "right or wrong" or "useless noob or awesome pro", i'd take it more like... ways to make variations in your buildings, something that i personally think is fun, first just do mockup for placement and then the longer i stay with the same scene/canvas/game/whatever i want to "upgrade" and make certain buildings "pop" more, perhaps because its someone more fancy who lives there, or just for variation in the buildings :)

I love the idea of the game but I really think there should be a way to add more substance to the experience, like for example being able to customize and place NPCs and animals, program their route/routine, and being able to play as the npc and walk around in third or first person through the maps you build. Maybe I'm asking too much
