M+M were already making good music when Tetsu was their vocalist, and they were still making amazing music during their period of mourning Kami's death and then with Klaha as their new vocalist. I would even go so far as to say that their music was actually better when Gackt was _not_ in the band. Sure, Gackt has the good looks with the voice to match, and the band became really popular in great part thanks to him, but for me the "Gackt era" was somewhat a tad too cheesy and too mawkish for my taste... That's why I was actually glad when Gackt left. It meant no more songs like "Claire~tsuki no shirabe", "Premier Amour", "Après-midi", or "Je te veux", which was a good thing as far as I was concerned. It meant that they would probably take a new direction, and I was really excited about it. Of course, back then nobody could have guessed that Kami would die 6 months after Gackt's departure...

And to sit here and listen to him speak English SO FLUENTLY compared to like 15 years ago is such an amazing experience... I have been a fan for soooo long... I haven't watched anything about Gackt in a really long time. It's nice to see that he still has his same sense of humor! It's the one thing I really enjoyed about watching his interviews as well as watching him interact with Downtown. Also looking at the snowboarding gear on the wall reminds me of the storytime he did with Downtown when he said he had to hitch hike after falling over in the snow and that he didn't have any money, then one of the guys (I don't remember if he was Hamada or Matsumoto) says "why didn't you ask the person who's taking the picture?" and Gackt goes "shhhh" xD Only Downtown was clever enough to troll Gackt back.
