i absolutely relate so heavily to what you were saying about day dreaming & not knowing what’s next or how everything will come into play and feeling stuck in survival mode. I 1000% feel that way too. My dream is to create. I’m so into all things beauty and makeup & fashion & poetry & song making… there’s so many creative aspects to me that i love and i feel almost overwhelmed in the feeling of “having to choose 1” . i just want to live wild & free, literally. i want to do whatever i want to do. i wanna be more confident in myself and allow myself to be so creative in front of other people. i hold myself back a ton & the crazy part is that i know* if i didn’t, i could be living a much happier life. my dream is to just have a fulfilling life & meet people & make new friends who i can share ideas & be creative with. I felt what you said so much. I've been in survival mode for so long and I constantly daydream about the life I want to have and my goals and dreams, I'm also a bit of a control freak so not knowing how everything will work out is so scary and uncomfortable, I feel so hopeless and stuck :( My dream is to be on my own, escape my toxic family members and household, take care of myself financially and be able to afford the lifestyle I want, model somehow and move out of my godforsaken town lol, finally do the things I love and to be surrounded by people who truly love me and make me feel happy. Im doing everything I can to stay positive and to be grateful for the life I have now, but its so hard when the people you live with constantly bring you down and do things that ruin your day.

Wow. We have the same things, just about everything you do and say. I heard somewhere that you never have to worry about the “how” just the “what” and “why.” your dreams are coming true just from you dreaming them. You are for sure doing everything you can and there’s no one way to do anything. Your way is the greatest way for you. Just keep going and going and it’s happening. I am working on all the same things. It’s very hard but incredible. Nice to meet you. I am also a poet, I have a book out called Drown in the Sun, it is the first book in my series I am working on. Every time I feel like it’s not good enough, I just keep doing it anyway with everything I have because I know I don’t really have another choice or I will be haunted if that makes any sense 😆

When you talked about just dreaming of the future and not knowing how to get there I deeply related to that. I have wanted to be an actress since I was a child, I've always loved movies and I've never seen myself doing anything else and it's so overwhelming trying to figure out how to get where I want especially from living in a small unknown city in Canada. It's terrifying but I know that it's my destiny and that the higher powers will guide me through this journey.

This really encouraged me to get writing and drawing and thank you for being a more lighter and positive sources within a storm of so much stuff. I totally feel your hardships, we really aren't alone in this at all. My dream is to keep creating honest and intentional art. Drawings, paintings, music, specifically singing I loved singing in classes, in front of crowds of students and for our little school plays but the more I went on the more outside sources influenced me to believe it was stupid and unrealistic and now I think I have wasted time and it will be too late to delve into music. I am 18 and most definitely can do it. Working on gratitude, optimism and recovery so I can unapologetically move towards my heart's calling.

I dream everyday to be a writer, of any form, whether that be a author, a screenwriter, or maybe even a Journalist. I just want to write, with my whole heart, my whole being, with everything. Sometimes it's hard to keep up with writing creatively though, because now I am in College and have to focus on studies, but I try my best to keep up with it. I hope in getting a degree in English, it will help me actually accomplish my dreams, but I know Sometimes people get a degree then never ending up getting their dream job, which is something I fear. I am also in survival mode recently. I feel I’ve been in survival mode all my life and I dream of being in a place where I can be at peace. I am 18 and I dream of getting out of the town that holds my trauma. I dream of being in California by the beach surrounded by cats. I dream of finishing community college soon and getting accepted into a 4 year school in Cali so I can get out of my town and into a place I can find peace. I recently picked up journaling and i want to be able to sort my thoughts and goals out enough mentally to put it together in words on a paper. i feel like writing it will bring some form of body to it and make it more tangible. I even went on to get myself a fountain pen and some beautiful ink samples so i can enjoy writing itself. then pen and ink does make it nicer but i find i have to prepare for it like a ritual. I mainly feel like writing when after/when i light up incense and put some relaxing music on or feel a burst of insight on something that i feel i should write before i forget. when did you start journaling and how did you find yourself get to the point where you write religiously. I want to write more.

Honestly, stick with it. Whenever there’s something i want whether its big or small, i am constantly thinking about it and take little steps in the direction towards that thing. I'm the same way! I have so many scattered thoughts, words, and poem starters in my notes and somehow, in time, I Frankenstein a poem! If I could share a tip, I like to get in a meditative state before falling asleep at night and mindlessly think of words and feelings and it will spark a really good piece for my poems!? When you're falling asleep, almost dreaming, your brain easily comes up with creative things, I guess because the "critical" part of your brain is inactive 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope this makes sense😅

i do have dreams, but i’m constantly consumed by the thought that I won’t reach it. i’d love to have my own home, to settle down, have cats and drink a cup of coffee on the front porch while writing poetry. but i’m afraid that will never come. or, actually, that i will never get there. i too am stuck in a survival state. i no longer enjoy what i used to. i find it hard to enjoy the small things. perhaps it’s my spirit that’s tired, but i’m too tired to cleanse and recharge..

It’s interesting that I’m kind of in the same situation. I want to be a singer, author, and other things in my future. I’m going to be 18 in a month and I just found my true passion and I’m going to start practicing every day and manifesting through meditation. This may be a small achievement but I whitened my teeth significantly with meditation. I didn’t even believe it would happen this fast. I didn’t use any special whitening products and in fact, those whitening products made my teeth even more yellow. It makes me feel like I can accomplish my dreams. Maybe it could help others. You seem like a wholesome person. Go after your dreams when your gut is telling you it’s time. Fear comes before you accomplish a great mission. I believe everything happens for a reason and there’s no such thing as a coincidence.

i left new york for florida ; florida had more space and freedom but after a few months i found myself feeling free but purposeless and making so little money from floridas minimum wage. i packed everything and went back to new york ; new york is tougher and darker but things are happening here. i need $600 for rent (which can happen in less than 2 weeks in new york) and i get food where i can.. my dreams are to reach people where they need it ; to show them that any way they want to live is possible. i make tarot videos on tiktok and plan to start reading in washington square park ; i hope that it takes off. the recipe i use is... being unafraid to fall, being unafraid to reinvent myself
