The coral looks all dead and brown. Isn't it supposed to be bright and vibrant?

The coral is healthy. Water absorbs different wavelengths of light at different rates. Red light has the lowest energy and longest wavelength, so it's absorbed first. This means that red light is filtered out of water as you go deeper, and it effectively never reaches the deep ocean...hence everything looking "dead and brown."

It's not a global problem. Thai's don't throw garbage into the ocean or water ways, it's not in their culture to litter, unlike many other countries in the world.

when dive training, you are required to take off face mask underwater to clear fog or if it gets water inside. I had to do it and I did not like it. Johnny did it like a pro
