A man mistreated me so much and l kept yearning to see him. When he showed up, it was just to verbally humiliate me. Love is not an item that you pick up and throw in the trash can. The heart takes a very long time to heal. I had serious depression for 3 years, but l forced myself to do other things until l began to realise l was surviving without him. I'm in tears 😢 because I've been in a situation where I loved someone who didn't love me back. It took me 7 years to get over him. In those 7 years I gained weight, aged and developed high blood pressure and anxiety. I hated myself so much. I felt like no one could ever love me. I'm over him but it will take a while to go back to my old self. The only thing that helped me heal is avoiding any contact with him. No calls, no texts, nothing. But here we say "mapema ndio best" translations "The earlier you make a decision ,the better it becomes/you heal". He has shown all red flags.
