The thing is, there may not always be firewood available, or it may not always be convenient to make a fire.

@@m.a.journey I've never had a problem finding wood in the woods. Just sayin. If your "camping" a "fire" is a MUST. I'm sure your home made fire candle is cool I'm not ragging on it. The candle would work inside a tent but just outside is a roaring wood fire!!! Thats why is called a Campfire........
