Whenever I have shoes that need broken-in, (which I TOTALLY don’t have the pain tolerance for!), I take them to my local shoemaker/shoe repair shop and have them “stretched.” It’s basically just having someone manually break them in for you with old-school but AMAZINGLY effective shoemaker tools. I’ve never been disappointed and the BEST part? It’s under $15! 👢👡👞🥾👠😉💕

YES! Use sunscreen every day! I'm really into skincare and using sunscreen is one of the best ways to reduce signs of ageing and preventing skin damage. The most important steps to any skincare regimen is basically cleanser, cream, sunscreen (in the day obv).

Hey! My brother is in the defence force and this is his pro tip for breaking in his new boots, and I tried it with my docs and it worked and I didn’t get any blisters or anything!! Sounds super weird but trust me... put the shoes in the sink, boil the kettle and fill the shoes with boiling water. Let it seep through, and then do it again, and again, for about 20 minutes or so. Then put thick socks on, put the shoes on (while they’re still warm from the boiling water) and jump in the shower, as hot as you can stand, and sort of like dance around and bend the shoes around as much as you can. Then stuff the shoes full of newspaper as tightly as possible and leave for a few days until the shoes are dry! Because docs are leather getting then wet is fine and then you won’t have any blisters!

Haul ideas: Teva sandals and Olive Clothing ! :) Teva is a great outdoor/comfortable sandal with really funky patterns. UO sells them. And what’s also “in” is the style that Olive Clothing does. They do a modern take on “old-timey” style, which is what’s coming back. I love those DM's, I am a huge fan of doc Martin and I absolutely SWEAR by their socks, they are so comfy and they help a tonne with breaking in the shoes. I hate the blisters and pain that it causes when you're breaking them in but with the last pair I bought I was like I'm just going to buy the socks to go with them (cause the shoes were a weird length and I wanted some socks to protect my lower leg as well and I honestly has 0 issues with breaking them in, so 100% recommend getting the socks to go with!!!

By the way, the video where you said what kind of Skechers shoes you get really helped because I also bought them on Amazon, changed the insoles, and they’re perfect for running, regular exercise, and even just as slip-ons, and they won’t slip off my feet, so thanks for bringing that up! Oh and I tried the burts Bees lipstick but in a different color and it’s awesome.

Hey Mia! I also got docs this quarentine! My tips for breaking them in - wear band aids/plasters over the parts you know will rub and double up on them! Wear 2 pairs of socks. Wear them for 1 hour on the 1st day, 2 hours second day, a whole afternoon 3rd day then go outside wearing them. Just do a few hours at a time. Always wear socks and bandaids! Also, I love skincare too and would love to see oh!K products tested. They're a Korean brand I think and the packaging is so cute! I've tried face masks and a moisturiser by them and they're great but I'd love to see some other things tried out too :) xxx

Mary Janes were popular in the 90’s also. I had the green Dr Marten Mary Janes with the double buckles. My high school boyfriend bought them for me and I wore them to school every day. I loved them, wish I still had them.
