Idk. If it was at nicer hotel marketed towards the wealthy and gaudy, the hotel. Bars are supposed to be some of the best. I mean, a lot of business men go get drinks to talk business. And a lot of celebrities like to stop off in the hotel bar since they tend to be a calmer atmosphere and the music tends to be soft and quiet rather than club music at full blast. It’s actually a very good place for a date. A lot of them tend to have little two or three seater tables scattered around the room, and the lighting is low. Good for romance, good for calming a mark or building rapport with clients, investors, and the like. They tend to be upscale, and most of them are in 5 star hotels. And if it’s a well known place they’ve both gone, it could be that they just like the food. Or that it was a safe option because they were both comfortable there. Where else was he supposed to take her? Home town buffet? McDonald’s? _everywhere_ in LA is somewhere influencers are known to go to.

Okay I worked in 2 industries where going out and drinking with co-workers was basically mandatory. A company that partnered with ICE provided enough free drinks at an office morale event that 2 of my co-workers got into a fistfight over one of the guy’s ex-girlfriend… one was there with his current girlfriend. Second job was company party where there was enough drinking that it is regular that someone disappears and finds themselves in random locations or passed out in the bath. At the last company party, one of the writers got so hammered they put him in an Uber. According to the report, he was acting erratically during the ride and then exited the Uber while it was moving. He was hit by a Ranger Rover and died. This was the last time they had a party for this financial publisher.

If we're talking within the context of Halley and Reed's personal relationship, then yes. Reed is the villain because he was the one who owed Halley loyalty over a mere acquaintance. But if we're talking about this as online drama, Sophia is definitely the villain. Her proud bragging is the only reason we even know about this story in the first place. What we've seen of Reed paints him as questionable, but both him and Halley clearly would have preferred to keep their (resolved) personal matters offline and he isn't the one using his platform to publicly and continuously hurt Halley long after the fact. Honestly, the only thing about the coverage of the story I don't like is that people sometimes use language that infantilizes Reed (like Sophia tried to "steal" Halley's man, but he's not a family heirloom and he can't be stolen y'all- I don't care how much of a hard time he was having. He's a grown man who made his own shitty choice) but otherwise Sophia absolutely deserves the callout bc what she's doing is borderline online harassment- aside from profoundly hateable. I think the point coop is trying to make ( from what i can understand so far) is that Sophie is trying to villainze Hallie even though what she did would in general be really rude ? Like texting a persons ex while your hanging out with them for example. Technically hallie and reed were broken up, so they could date whomever , like rebound. @@shermin2483 Last December, he and this person began a podcast. In order to runs the clicks up, they stirred the speculation pot by presenting themselves as boyfriend-girlfriend. It worked in that people have been watching, but all the content-on his channel and the podcast-is sophomoric at best. They sound like eighth grade mean girls. It’s so weird. As a result, his own channel has measurably degraded. Now he’s even behaving snappily without her. It’s all so disappointing. You can see it play out in his clickbait posts that are usually headlined with something akin to “Brad does his girlfriend’s hair” or “meet my straightener,” etc.
