welcome to the second episode of the Malaysia diaries. we leave Kuala Lumpur and enter the jungle of Taman Negara! we spent two magical days in the jungle. then we moved on to our next stop: the Cameron highlands, where we visited the tea plantations, strawberry farm and enjoyed the cooler climate.

Hope my gov can protect the rainforest for future generations as logging, mining, plantations are the main culprits that destroy it. Not the indigenous people who takes care of it.

Taman Negara is the oldest tropical rainforest in the world. Oldest rainforest in the world is Daintree in Australia. Either way both rainforests are way older than the Amazon.

Hi Iris, wat een toffe video. vraagje, ik ben eind van de maand ook in Maleisie en dacht erover om na Malacca ook naar taman negara en cameron highland te gaan. Hoeveel dagen / nachten zou je op beide plekken verblijven om er van te genieten? taman negara lijkt me zelf iets mooier dan cameron highlands maar hoe heb jij dit ervaren? ps waar verbleven jullie in cameron highlands? keep up the good videos en ik kijk al uit naar de volgende video van maleisie!!!!

dankjewel!! Ik vond zelf ook Taman Negara mooier dan Cameron Highlands. echt super bijzonder. wij waren overal twee nachten en voor cameron highlands is dat ook echt prima. langer hoef je er niet te zitten! ik was zelf wel liever nog een nachtje extra in Taman Negara geweest. maar in principe is twee ook voldoende hoor. ons hotel in cameron highlands was hotel Brynton in Brinchang. let trouwens ook op dat op maandag BOH tea gesloten is dus als je daar graag heen zou willen moet je op een andere dag gaan :)

we took a cab! it's super affordable, we asked our hotel to arrange it.

You should go and explore Genting Highlands. It is quite different from Cameron Highlands because there are casinos and mostly as entertainment town.
