Love your videos! When i started meal planning and only buying what I needed, I halved my weekly food shop! You are absolutely right about the false economy of bulk buying for small households. My suggestion would be try to buy nutrient dense options (even if not as nice), wholemeal bread, peanut butter- things to fill you up. Keep up the good work!! You're creating great content for us 😊 thank you

Great vid! Every week or so I go through my groceries and stock and pull out what needs te get used up. I feel like that also saves a lot! I never buy groceries specifically for a week I have my staples and keep those stocked and once in a while I buy things on offer or get stuff....and usually that is the stuff that gets pulled out for the needstogetused pile lol.

I'm currently going back and watching your older vids - I am currently 'eating down the fridge/freezer' so trying not to shop! I end up with so much freezer stuff I don't even know whats in there! I also never label it so its freezer roulette a lot :D

Buongiorno Amica Mia, I enjoy thick oatmeal...I like to sculpt. I have a green pea recipe which is adjacent to mushy peas. I take fresh peas and cook them in butter with some powdered chicken stock, pepper(hot Chili) herbs, onions and garlic - until tender. I then blend them up with more butter if needed til I get a nice spread (In my mad scientist mind this tastes a bit like flavored potato crisps (chips US). I use it as a side, or spread it on bread, crackers etc. or use it instead of mayo. or I just eat it hehehe. In the 1970s I purchased the "Fanny Farmer Freezer Cookbook" which had tips on how to manage one's freezer. One of the suggestions was to have a list of the contents. I think this helps with meal planning and not opening the freezer so much. I keep the bits and bobs of veggies which I will use for stock in the freezer. When they hit critical mass I make the stock and if it's also too much some of the stock can be frozen. Jacques le Chat

I watch a lot of bulk cooking videos. A clever way to avoid monotony is to just prep basic ingredients. In our freezer here we have all our veg prepped seperately. Carrots, corn, onions, garlic, etc etc. Even when I make an pan of roast aubergine (eggplant) I make it with onion garlic peppers tomato and perhaps something green but I do the seasoning when I reheat it (greece, India, france, uk, italy, mexico, turkey, china, japan, vietnam) if you have the spice blends and or sauces made up in advance (I know there you have packets) it's a question of base - spice and just reheat. I hope this helps. Jacques

yeah I think bulk cooking gets boring after a while. Meal planning is definitely a winner. I've seen ingredient prepping and that seems to work better. Look forward to see you journey as a budget foodie :)

I noticed your condiments are all in personal jars in the doorway of your fridge do you take them out of the original containers and put them in there or do they come that way? I’m from the US. Everything’s packaged and wasteful here.
