Came for a hit of "you found me" nostalgia, stayed for the fact that I'm still as dumb as kid me who couldn't find everything.

So I have actually seen this CD online before. I played and loved I SPY School Days as a lad so I was of course interested in this. But finding information on it was SO HARD!!! So thank you very much for this video and keep up the amazing work!

It's weird how the obstacles in Balloon Popper always stay in place even after each riddle has been read. Good thing it was fixed in I Spy School Days.

IKR! The problem was, pieces were missing. The 🎈 popper is a chain reaction experiment.

@@andreapatane4204 Indeed. After all, the balloon popper is one unique contraption! By the way, sorry for the late reply, but I was very busy with other things. I'd also like to wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

You did it! You played through the first version of I Spy School Days! In other words, the very first I Spy CD-ROM game. I never had this game, and I don't think I will since I already have most of the features in I Spy School Days. Great job, and congrats! By the way, what is the fix that you found for the popping noise problem?
@MrEightThreeOne8 жыл бұрын
+CEO100able Thanks! I mean, I wasn't actively looking for this game, but I saw it in a thrift store for dirt cheap and had nothing to lose. That was back when I used VMware Player, which is no longer shareware anyway so it's kinda outdated. Anyway, the fix for it...was literally just turning up the Windows sound volume (in the guest) all the way up. I'm dead serious. The popping was happening because I didn't max the sound volume. Why. And it didn't apply here because I recorded this off a real computer instead of a VM.

what was the difference between this I Spy game and I Spy School Days?
@CEO100able2 жыл бұрын
@@pentiummmx2294 I Spy had Windows 3.1 compatibility, but it was taken out of its 2000 deluxe counterpart, I Spy School Days, for various reasons. I Spy School Days was fully optimized for not only Windows 95, but Windows 98 and Windows 2000 as well, and it featured a new location for solving riddles named "Craft Projects." It's like 3D Ultra Lionel TrainTown Deluxe featuring several new jobs, locations, locomotives, rolling stock, etc. (plus a new job roster named "Layout Tinkerer," replacing all the Build Park levels in the original 3D Ultra Lionel TrainTown PC game, and two jobs, "School Daze: 4th Grade" and "Expensive Christmas Trees" were sadly cut out of the Deluxe version as well probably to make room for new jobs).

@@CEO100able i spy school days lacked the Media Circus Interactive Advertising logo in the intro, and had a different more animated and updated Black Hammer Productions logo.
@CEO100able2 жыл бұрын
@@pentiummmx2294 Well that's true as well. I wonder why Media Circus Interactive no longer had involvement with I Spy PC games during the early 2000s?

I used to have a copy of this game for Mac and PC until I donated it to charity. Lots of needy children needed a copy of this game anyway, so they can learn how to hunt for the items in a surreal environment that riddles asks for as we speak. This is the original copy that I'm talking about in the comment boards. Did you know that it was included in the book orders back when I was in elementary 🏫? Funny I said that, because I Spy Spooky Mansion was also included with the book orders that I used to place in the same setting of education. PLEASE note that it was the original version that I'm talking about in the comment boards.

For some reason my game as a kid wouldn't let me finish the one nature riddle. It asks for "corn to be popped" I'd click on it and nothing would happen! I see you clicked on it and it worked lol

This version has 8 games in the main menu. This seems to be a prototype version of I Spy School Days in which the final version (like the one I have and a different disc that you have) has 9 games which has the Craft section in which the prototype I Spy lacks.
@MrEightThreeOne7 жыл бұрын
This isn't a "prototype", it's just an earlier release of the same game. A prototype is any build of a game before it's finished and released to the market.
