This is probably falling in deaf ears; But with all the recent episodes there seems to be a common theme of musicians who needs to be good businessmen. Times have changed man and just accept it as it is. I don't know whether to call this naivity or not, but you guys need to focus on delivering your works of art to the listeners. Get people to market your product, hire social media fools to do it for you and treat it like a business expense. I have lived away from home for some time now, and it is a huge challenge to find Bangladeshi songs on apps like Spotify or other apps as such. I want to listen to Rock 101 and other old mixed albums, but I can't do that cause they are so hard to find. I don't even know if Bappa Mazumdar has produced any new songs or not, or what he has done over the past decade. Not that I am his biggest fan, but there is a huge disconnect and you guys need to figure out how to bridge that gap. You guys already have massive followings on apps like Facebook. Use those followers to your advantage. Find someone to make tiktoks on your music, link them to apps like Spotify and such. Your show is phenomenal and I want to thank you for bringing so many of these converstations to light.

First of all it sounds not good that every time Jon is reminding having said "Ami Upni to bujhi...amra bujhi.." @Jon FYI you are not at the level of Bappa Mazumder as you are thinking " Tomar Bapu aro ek Jug sadhona korte hobe Bappar level e aste....", Bappa's thought process and philosophy is far beyond than that of yours...Contribution of Bappa in Music Industry is much more rich and higher than that of yours...the family backup and back ground that you got is not and never was the same as Bappa...The reality and Practical experience that Bappa had to face during Covid time, never ever you,Jon, had to face any such as you are from that pampered family background and never you had to think of your " Daily Ruji" as Bappa was saying and experiencing...that was the real true Bappa Shared..So Jon don't think yourself as the level of Bappa...Bappa is the asset of BD and definitely his level of anger considering the reality was very TRUE...Don't try to compare yourself with your respected guest (same i saw while interviewing Hamen Ahmed) beyond your average level...

"I don't follow the trend" saying in 2023 doesn't make any sense at all. Nokia also didn't follow the trend and now nokia is no where in the market and customers really don't care about it as the generation changed, consumer behaviour changed so the product has to change. Yes it is veryy difficult for the 80s/90s artists to cope-up with the trend but at the same time I think they have a lot more competitive advantage than the new comers as they already have plenty of hit contents, it is just, they need to remake and fit them into the socks. For example I would loveee to watch a new version of shurjo snane chol or a one minute short of remade bioscope or an instrumental reel or a mashup of his hits. Here I mean the audience. Its a huge competitive world now in this entertainment industry, if you dont fit in yourself, you are gonna sink and nobody will really care about u. May be region wise we get to see shits on tiktok, but globally the scenario is not the same, people are making videos on millions of topics and have their own audience.. Bappa bhai saying "amar kono ego nai" is a totally untrue statement. He is man of huge arrogance and people who got to know him personally, knows it more or less. His attitude was not acceptable. We would love to hear and see him in the trending melting pot, but if he doesn't like to get onboard, i am afraid, the ship won't hold sailing. Good luck and best wishes.

Bappa is a great musician for sure but i have a feeling that the senior musicians always try to prove a point that the music of Bangladesh has degraded compared to their times. But this is not true. Bad musics are out their but there are more good music than bad ones for sure in Bangladesh. Commercializing music is also important, otherwise how the musicians are going to survive? If they constantly bring bad commercial examples and forget about majority of good commercial music, they sound backdated and somehow narcissist. They bring tiktok every now and then in the conversation as a bad medium where great musicians in the world have been spreading their music over tiktok as well. Great musicians should fill the mediums like tiktok with good content to make the bad one’s disappear.
