Watching these two is always interesting, i've always seen them as almost complete opposites in every way. Poki to me always came of as very business like and put together you know and then mr cow who rambles when no one asks, is a brand risk and starts streaming at 4am and doesn't sleep for a week. Its always great to see them interact, particularly how horrified poki seems at all the stuff X does on the regular.

Lighting and camera angle does make a huge impact on how you look, Xqc just always has shit quality. Even before this stream I always noticed X actually has nice facial features. Mizkif was also on Poki's stream and didn't look that "pretty" so if it was filter alone Miz also would've looked yassified.

Yeah but i think the main difference with twitch and youtube taking money from their creators is that donations are money the viewer wants to give to support their favorite streamer and twitch taking half of that is kinda cringe especially when donations are usually the main income per stream over add rev. Also youtube videos are up forever so the ultimate gain from add rev is gonna be much larger than a 4-8 hour stream where twitch still takes half the cut.

57:17 What helps me sleep is Windows Key+A>"Night Mode" after 6pm (no screens like Pokimane mentions) and sunlight on your face in your eyes asap in the mornings (not through glass or windows). Dr Andrew Huberman and Lex Fridman had a podcast recently that may have mentioned this I can link if you like. I hope it gets better for you that struggle with this. 🙏

i played the exact same thing X did with the brain patters, the things they hook to your head, they measure brain activity, an adjustable threshold is the target you're trying to achieve, for instance, when I was not reading a book, you would see my brain activity shooting up and down on the screen like wavelengths, far outside the threshold, meaning the game wouldn't progress. If I read a book and stayed focused, the brain activity would drop below the threshold, letting the roller-coaster or whatever weird game they translate the progress to. It was actually really interesting as a child.

As far as twitch getting less views on the site there are many factors. Other streaming sites, twitch leaking the 50-50, oversaturation, etc. the two reasons I stopped watching twitch were power tripping admins & KZbin clips of the best parts of a stream. If I can’t speak my opinion in a chat, there’s no reason to use it & if I can get a summary on a 72 hour subathon, why waste the extra time?

I think Gambling sponsorships are bad period. Hear me out, I usually agree with what Felix has to say about most things. But when he brought up an Alcohol sponsorship compared to a Gambling sponsorship. One seems to be significantly more addictive. Gambling can LOOK incredibly lucrative especially when you're throwing millions at a machine. Especially when you're a degen that only sees the clips of the wins. I think yes anyone who thinks about it logically can never say it truly is lucrative but at the same time, I don't think anyone who is making the choice to gamble despite this is making a "logical" decision. TLDR; imagine its a meth sponsorship vs an alcohol/shitty game sponsorship. One is WAY MORE ADDICTIVE and I don't think anyone using meth is going to say it sucks to do but sure they can say ITS NOT GOOD FOR YOU. SO having a sponsorship that you profit off of showing people the best part about something even if the thing is a whole is BAD, IS BAD. I also want to add to the fact that there is a reason that it is ILLEGAL for Australian athletes/sports players to have gambling sponsorships on their Jerseys as it can easily influence people. Because a lot of people would look up to these players and idols. If someone showed up and could convince them to make that stupid choice again. Well they ain't really too smart are they? cant really help someone whose not gonna help themselves. If they weren't stupid they wouldn't have to have been a drug addict in the first place. I have smoken weed for over 20 years. Never done anything harder. Because I made the choice not to risk getting hooked on something because i experimented. When i had pain killers from injuries I didn't abuse the drug. I just took the pain. It sucked. But I knew the alternatives. Because tv and movies educated me on them. This is something everyone has observed about gambling having negative consequences. The behaviour isn't wrong. If you break it down the behaviour is risking money for a chance at winning money. If I gamble 100 dollars in a lottery is that action bad? Why do you gloss over personal responsibility? If gambling itself was that addicting how come everyone who gambles isn't a gambling addict? Because every person in the world has gambled. YOu have gambled right? Even once. Visited a casino? How come you aint an addict? And if its the individual who has the problem inside them. They will find gambling at one point in their life or their own poison. you gots a real juvenile take.
