That's quite the different starting experience compared to back in the ol' days (2015), when I started out on PS3. I remember in the cut scene I landed in the airport, picked up by Lamar, and then I was entered into a race against another player, which I won somehow :) I stole my first car, the Karin Futo, bought the cheapest 2 car garage, and drove the Futo to LS Customs and put insurance on it, making it my first personal vehicle. A thousand hours of play time later I'm now at lvl 357. But starting out that way today would be brutal, given how the game is now, compared to back then. It was way more chill back then, not as "hectic" as it is now.

@@Actiontime70 ah, so it's some ps5 exclusive bonus going on. Yeah, cayo perico is great for grinding bread. Once you have money for it, after getting the kosatka, get the Sparrow heli for it. Spawns next to you anywhere on the map from the quick menu, and it makes the cayo perico setups so much faster.

I remember how tough it was to start a new character with the first “enhanced edition” jump from the PS3 and XB360 to PS4 and XB1. You start from the LAS Airport and Lamar hands you a gun, you had to win a street race and had the opportunity to put a tracker and insurance either on the car you drove on the race or hopefully a decent one off the street. There was no money to buy even the cheapest 2 car garage, so maybe you would grind solo races or solo jobs with tiny payouts over and over again. I think they eventually sold and/or bundled a starter pack with a bunch of free cars and business properties, but the starter pack is definitely a good idea, as the grind from a level 1 with no money is potentially astronomical.

I started as level 1 last year and while doing heists with completely random people, i one day joined a complete stranger that had the cayo perico heist (by this time i was lvl 30 i think) and he got me so much money it was insane, he did a glitch so we could replay it right after and i bought a kosatka after a while, since then i've been helping non-hostile noobs with getting money by doing the heist with them until they can buy the kosatka, i'm level 124 now EDIT: I've gotten a lot of comments from people who want help, first of all, i'm on PC. Second of all, me helping noobs is a rare occurrence as if recent, since i can't go into a public lobbies without modders blowing up the whole lobby or booting everyone off the game, i wish i could help more people, but modders make it borderline impossible

Day 1 player here from when the game first released in (2013) when you started it was hard & fun at the same time. Knowing you had to grind out figure it out on your own or if you had friends with you, you guys could work on missions together. Which that would take hours on end but in the end I loved playing the game I was on the Xbox 360 then now to the Xbox one. But after playing with my nephews PS5 I have taken into consideration that I am ready to switch over to the PS5 & start a brand new account. I had like 3 Mil from getting the free 1 Mil per month from ps plus and I was lucky enough to get some things like the kosatka and sparrow otherwise I think I would have never been able to actually play the game due to griefers and whatnot. @@kiko._.a I think he's talking about going to high stakes tables. Placing $50k bets for example, if you win you stand up change outfit so it saves what you won then get back to betting. However if you lose you immediately either disconnect from the network or close the game. Then when you start the game up again you still have the $50k you would have lost. The only problem I've come across, is that if you start closing too often due to losing bets. The game will randomly/frequently start saving. It does it because it thinks the connection is unreliable and is "helping" by saving your game. The problem starts where if you place a $50k bet it might save the game at that point. So you'll lose the bet regardless. It's benefitted me though I started off with about $10k. Then with winnings I bought a penthouse to get access to high stakes tables. I've made several millions off the casino. I usually keep $300k in chips and any winnings above that I cash in. Exploit aside I can legit make more on roulette and poker in 10 -15 mins than most of those generic Lamar, Gerald, Martin missions.

Oh and yesterday, someone called for help with his vehicle which was stuck upside down. He was low level so I told him I would as soon as I finished a delivery. He thanked me. I finished, called for my MKii and sped across the map to him. I told him to stand back and I used my alien gun to right his car. As I'm typing "There you go. Get yourself an alien gun when you can afford one." he runs up to me and kills me. He then laughs over chat. I don't usually PvP but I was so pissed I went after him and killed him, then got killed again while he is mocking me. Killed him, took out his vehicle, (he's laughing and telling me he has free insurance and asking if I even know how the game works), took it a second time for that comment then hired a mugger (it was a daily objective and I had to look up how to even do it) then hired mercs. He had stopped mocking me by this point and then left. This is why I usually solo glitch.

Hey TGG. Can I just say as a new player to GTAO your videos have been a great help. I joined a week ago and have now managed to get the submarine and begin the Cayo Perico heists. Your solo guide is legendary so I’ve done that about ten times now, I keep getting the tequila I’m not complaining but would like the necklace or diamond once in a while 😂 Just bought the mk2 oppressor and I swear I’ve not been using it to grief. I was introduced to the game at the most inconvenient time. It wasn’t as acknowledged how babied new players needed to be because it was fairly new enough where you had to start off normal where lamar picks you up from the airport and you are dumped off to figure ur own shit out but it was old enough to be scary to compete considering how hard it was to get to the level of other players at that point in the game and still have a real life not to mention how toxic and sweaty everyone was it was impossible to actually level up. Im better off starting a new account like this with the knowledge i have nowadays being able to get the headstart i need and already skill and knowledge on how the game works i can eventually get higher level again. (Considering im only level 204 and at the beginning of 2022 i was 132 i think its safe to say its a good plan)

Started less than one month, still on lv 8. I remembered once i played heist with 3 other 180+ players, in the middle of heist 2 of them left. So I cleared it duo with another high lvl player. After the rewards loading finished, he/she tried to shoot me. Luckily I always turned on the passive mode. It’s so hard to keep up with low lvl, there are lot of high players do rampage everywhere

I was lvl 1 in like mid 2021 and honestly, Rockstar had made GTA pretty damn bad even though I'm not a long timer I feel how bad Rockstar has messed things up, I'm only lvl 72 since I've been on and off of it since Rockstar has made GTA annoying and boring as hell. But when I do play it I usually just drive around in my Toreador while doing some simple missions, while offering rides and/or "rentals" I guess you could call it, to random low lvls doing VIP Work (I got the Hydra during the discount and I offer low lvls doing sightseers and things like that a ride in it while I'm doing something else), and sometimes the occasional Anti-Griefer duties but I'm absolute ass at PvP lol so I just tend to dodge fights And honestly its fun watching other low lvls go and do stuff, learn the game, and whatnot, idk why lol but it gives me more feeling of accomplishment than like doing Cayo XD

On the Pc they still start you off at airport and waiting for a ride…. My buddy started as lev 1 in late November, and was gone for most of December. I told him to either get the premium version or the classic with criminal enterprise pack. So right off he had a bunch of freebies to get him making money quickly. First thing we did was run some races that were double rp and money and got him to level 20 within his first hour doing a few races…. Then we got him setup business wise with all his free CEP stuff. And he made his first sales in the first day. By the first week he had his nightclub, mc club, counterfeit, ceo building, bunker, apartment, and auto shop so he had access to all upgrades. Broke for sure by that time but making money none the less. Today he is level 75 and only really played about 3 weeks total as he wasn’t on during holiday at all. But he is already got most of what I have as a lev 200. Doing heists, and joining us for fun most days for extra money. Unfortunately the key thing is having someone to guide you as a new player. A sponsor if you will. So you can get into crew sessions and have people to play with regularly. Without that in public only sessions, nope your not getting far…

Realistically for any new player find a discord and find ppl in it to help you with your heists, plenty of veterans are willing to help if you let them know that you’re new so they know what they’re getting into and being able to communicate with you makes them feel more comfortable helping
