40 years ago we did tent camping at Ft Wilderness. They had no restaurants, but the Chip n Dale sing a long at a campfire was magical for my preschool daughter. We returned there to camp yearly, until we decided to try the new lodge and the one restaurant that served breakfast only. Too expensive. But after that we just stayed at the hotels, unless we were broke, and just drove 2 hours home. Keep some utensils in your car, along with reusable straw. And that water by the trees should be there. Those are cypress trees, they grow in swampy areas and along real lakes (not sink holes) They are protected, along with thier knees. Love your site.

Next time you go to a Disney world resort that has a kitchen in room check all cabinets and drawers. They supply all dishes and flatware plus glasses. The cabins also come with cookware and pots/pans. That way you don't have to eat with your fingers. Don't forget to get a map of where you are staying so you can find more goodies.

My husband and I stayed there years ago (when it was more affordable) We liked it. Every night there was a little tree frog that would hang out by the outside porch light (he was adorable). We probably went to that restaurant. They used to show disney movies each night and you could buy some marshmallows and roast them on a campfire while watching the movie.

Fun fact Disney rooms with a kitchen have dishes,pots,pans, and utensils. Check the drawers during your room tour. Also other hotel fun fact places like extended stay or other suite hotels. If have a functioning kitchen, have utensils, pots, and pans. It's just a fun fact.

We stayed at Fort Wilderness, in a rented RV, never again. The actual resort grounds we loved. The RV nearly broke us. 😂 We went to the dinner and show, it was so much fun, the food wasn’t giving for us, unfortunately. We loved how easy it was getting into Magic Kingdom from the resort, the boat ride was fun. Of course I had to embarrass my 4 kids and with my best Bert from Marry Poppins accent said, “It tickles me bum! Does it tickle your bum? It tickles mine.” 😂😂 The water slide in the pool was no joke, our youngest, 5 at the time would get stuck in the current it created in the pool. We went with my parents, and we’re a family of six. 4 adults and 4 children staying in an RV was not the best vacation decision we’ve made. Hahaha! Oh, we did do the Storybook dinner with Snow White at the Wilderness Lodge when we went, not sure if they still have it, but if they do I definitely recommend it! The food was amazing, and you get to meet the Evil Queen!

Yay! Dinner with Timmy to brighten a cold winter’s day! I think the cabin cost would be okay for two couples or a large family to share the expense, but it is pricey. So glad you got a discount! If I went there, I’d probably live off the bread pudding. It’s one of my favorites and I seldom have it. Never tried it with chocolate, so I’m going to have to hunt a recipe. I loved the little aside comments like, “JK, I rode the bus.” They were cute and so funny! Thanks for another fun and fabulous video!

Having worked for the mouse before helping with booking resorts and restaurants, I can definitely say that the cabins were definitely a regular go-to for those who just simply loved camping. Many guests would book the cabins annually and/or park their RVs there for weeks! When I stayed at the cabins I stayed with a group of 6 and it worked out pretty well for us. Thank you for sharing your experience! :)
