Oh BTW, the Buena Vista Palace hotel at the edge of Disney property. It was a big convention hotel and one weekend my friend and I flew down there and he drowned in the pool! This was after nightclubbing and their spa island is rather dark. So he spent the rest of the long weekend in the celebration hospital. I managed to get the hotel stay comped by the manager by insinuating liability, but it wasn’t too much fun for him he had to stay over to make sure his lungs were OK, it was only 6 feet of water!

Fun fact: The Grand Floridian is based on this famous hotel in San Diego called the Hotel del Coronado. It’s where Some Like it Hot was filmed and it’s BEAUTIFUL

It’s also the inspiration for L Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz book series (his house is just a short bike ride/walk from the hotel). The hotel is haunted by Kate Morgan. I stayed there as a non-believer. Did not leave that way…. 😬 I’ve stayed at both the Del Coronado (both the main hotel and the tower building) and the GF (again both main building and the DVC rooms). The best rooms are GF rooms for theming, but the Del is a far better hotel, in my opinion. You can do yoga on the beach, outdoor cycle class, the spa, the dining. That said, if you’re going to San Diego, I don’t suggest staying on Coronado Island. I strongly suggest the Del Mar area.

As someone from Florida, this is hilarious. A few years ago someone got attacked by a gator (it was tragic and all over the news hence the signs). But also, roaches do come up through drains 😂 I’d be worried about potential bed bugs though in the bad hotel. This was a great video! Thank you for sharing!
