So many bloggers show the Plaza and NEVER mention the Bingo hall! It's the only hotel downtown that has bingo. One of very few bingo rooms outside of a Boyd or Stations casino. Also, I like that you showed a picture of Biff's from Back to the Future. Hardcore BTTF fans (like myself) will remind you that the real Plaza is not actually in the film. They made a scale miniature model of the Plaza in order to remodel it as Biff's. That's what's seen in the film (and in your intro).

They should have showed cool world that was filmed at the plaza by the front lights and on the roof brad pitt and kim basinger up there. I just mentioned the bingo. Best feature of the plaza. ITs a great way to pass some time, such a good deal. 20 bucks for the rainbow book and the extra games and you get two free cocktails with your receipt and top shelf too and nice size cup as well.

Living here for 34 years-I’m blown away with what they have done with the Plaza. Everything Ruby experienced in her overnight stay is “real”-And you have to get a Dozen Pinkbox donuts. I put them in the frig, and I have one or two each day. The Carousel Bar is awesome.

Thanks for doing this Hotel. We watch Brian and would stay there after seeing the non smoking area. This hotel appreciates their guests. It seems everything they do is for the customer and a better experience. Great hotel review!

The room looks really really basic. Like a Holiday Inn. But that private outdoor patio was really nice! Big! Yes, the look of this place looks more old school. Which is fine. Your food at Oscars looked good.

I'm so glad that they are doing a great job overhauling the place. After Jackie Gaughan sold The Plaza, it went downhill. This is a great example of NOT tearing down a once great hotel/casino, just carefully plan the successful renovation. They just need to bring back the baccarat table, that's the only thing missing and a none smoking table game room. Congrats to the new management of The Plaza. I might check it out this weekend.

I had a lady friend who worked at the Plaza back when Jackie Gaughan, who was always present at the hotel to say hello to workers, Linda was there when the hotel was sold to the Darden family. They made ONE visit to the hotel. That’s it. I wish she was alive to see the Plaza now.

I stayed at the Plaza in 2018 when I visited Vegas. I really liked it. It was clean and had a great location. They had started remodeling then. Oscars was closed and the Bingo hall was closed when I went. They also have an auditorium that has shows and stand up comedians play. That was being remodeled too. All the new changes are great. The Carousel Bar is an awesome use of the circular space at the entrance. Pinkbox looks cool but I’m not sure I’d be in the mood for donuts in Vegas.

The patio area really sells the room but it would have been nice if the bathroom had been relocated up by the door to the room as is typical so that there could be more windows looking out. It would have made the room A LOT less dark as it looked really dark. Failing that I think it would have been cool to have a window in the bathroom instead since it was on an exterior wall and that's a rare opportunity.

Nice meeting you two at the Grand Opening at the Caroselle Bar. The Plaza is our go-to place in Las Vegas. The Plaza has a lot to offer and is so close to everything downtown. You mentioned crab cakes from Oscar's, and yes they are great. Chef Ben does a fantastic job on the menu.......but......you have to try the crab cakes at Vic& Anthony's in the Golden Nugget. Keep up the great work on your content and great editing.

Everything new at Plaza looks wonderful! Can't wait to check it out in person next time I'm in Vegas! 5:09 I'm a little surprised though that they chose Brian Christopher to be their new spokesperson KZbin influencer with his name and face on machines. A few years ago I would have thought they would have picked SayHiToMatthew to be their spokesperson, since he used to have much more of a relationship with the Plaza and Oscars. But I guess they don't have as strong of an affiliation with him anymore.

Love the Plaza. Visited here multiple times during my last trip between gaming and Hash Hash a Go Go. Last trip they were finishing up construction on the Carousel Bar and I just missed it by a couple weeks. Really looking forward to seeing more of the new additions next time I adventure to Vegas. Plaza is gold. They are the only place with (reasonable) minimum on single zero roulette. Long live the Plaza!

I’ve never cared for downtown. When I was first there, 1991, it was far too trashy and dirty; not in a good way. Once the Freemont Street Experience opened up, it was far more touristy and too crowded. It seemed like half the people on the Strip were concentrated into a fraction of the space. One thing I’ve always liked was the Plaza standing proud at the west end of it. It’s good to see it updated.

nice room, but location is everything on Fremont and those rooms will be noisy from Circa pool as well as Fremont's stage booming music until 2am. And there is an additional security issue for the 5th floor, anyone's key card will go there due to the pool being on that level! But, nice review, I love the Plaza.
