Hi Karo . TY for the great footage and memories . This was my go to route a couple of times a week when I lived near Samila Beach . Very pleasant , chill ride except for the bridges . Usually most Buddhist Temples will let you stay under shelter for a night if needed . Love that Tree House …🤙🏻

Wow living nearby Samila Beach must be a dream- you can ride to the beach and also to Koh Yo, how nice. Yeah crossing the bridge is nerve-wrecking! I’ve asked for a permission at a buddhist temple once but got rejected haha! But that was just a one time example.

Hello Karo, I really enjoyed your latest video. You have a great energy and attitude. In 6 weeks I'm jumping on a plane, Singapore bound ! Then I guess I will be following in your footsteps, or should I say "pedals" ? Would you mind if I asked you a few questions about the route ? I'm a little concerned about the terrorism in the South of Thailand, and the availability of hotels or B&B's. Kind regards, Neil.

Hi Neil, how exciting! All the best in your trip :) I didn’t feel any threat when I was in South Thailand. In fact, everyone I met is friendly and full of smiles. Some even became my friends. The insurgent groups mainly target Thai authorities, not travellers, so don’t worry about it. As for accommodation, it’s not that hard to find in bigger cities like Hatyai and Songkhla. If all else fails, temples and mosques or even municipal hall are good places to ask to pitch a tent overnight (which I did once).

Haha I will take cheat codes if I think it is necessary or fun 😜. I always travel with as little budget as possible, but will splurge on experience I think is once in a lifetime. My spending style outside of travelling has always been frugal, so that helps in saving money for travel.
