Fun vid! White tigers are not endangered btw! They do not occur regularly in the wild. They are the same species as other tigers with and you cannot breed white tigers without inbreeding generally !

@@Levay2013 Same here, me and my mom stayed in the Tiger Lodge last year, and it was really cool to open the curtains the next morning, and just seeing tigers right there in front of us.

When quarantine hit, I heard that animals in zoo were depressed, becuse they were used to the visitors. So I really like this idea of these hotels! Animals are seeing new and new guests and their days are rich and not that boring. But question is - who is the observing who :) The price is astronomic - but when those animals eat a lot and the clientelle isn´t surely THAT big to pay it off cheaper. Otherwise I would be permanent visitor :D

A lot of zoo and aquarium animals got depressed, they do enjoy seeing people which is why some places took a fee animals on walks and to see the other animals. Most are social in some way so having no one come to the zoo or aquarium made it very lonely.

You should’ve came to australia to the Jamala wildlife lodge, you can stay in a hotel room with bears, lions, tigers and when you’re having dinner you can watch a lion or any animal eat too!

Very cool video! I love Pairi, but just letting you know, white tigers are not a species. They are a genetic mutation not naturally found, but bred by humans often leading to other medical complications. While all tiger species are endangered and need saving, the white mutation is better to be phased out. This is a sentiment shared by most modern zoos.

White tigers are extremely rare in the wild due to a recessive gene. They aren't endangered. Tigers are endangered. Most white tigers are in captivity because they breed them that way.

I work as a zoologist in a zoo rn and I also did wildlife expedition. I slept in the zoo a lot because I need to observe their habitat at night and I sleep in the tent beside lion enclosure once (the zoo I'm working rn is actually a wildlife sanctuary but turn it into a zoo and safari) oh boy..... RIP sleep time. The male been mating call all night.

White tigers aren’t exactly an “endangered species”, more of a genetic anomaly that gets exacerbated and promoted (by humans) in captive tigers… not saying they couldn’t be born in the wild, but their genes would likely die out naturally rather than kept and further bred by humans. A wild-born white tiger would truly be an “endangered” individual, as white animals in nature are very obvious and stand out. They’re nearly always visible to predators and prey alike, so if they don’t get eaten or killed themselves, their potential prey sees them a mile away and runs! 🤣 Tigers have orange and black markings to naturally blend-in and hide.
