Seriously this seems like the BEST place to stay for a fun weekend in Asakusa! I love how you can experience all the traditional Japanese things that Asakusa has to offer like renting kimono, going to the food stalls and visiting the temple, and then you can stay the night at THIS place and do it all again the next day. It's literally too perfect!

That was so freaking nice of them to gift to you the night in that wonderful room. The room was so well designed and spacious. All the extra rooms and quality build and materials are a nice touch, it definitely has a great wow factor. Wide, long, low windows gave a comforting ambiance even though the ryokan is surrounded by a "hustle-and-bustle" area. Loved the "DONK" moment lol.:)

I am trying so hard not to be envious. That must be one of the best-situated Ryokans in Japan. I am instantly starting saving today so I can stay there if ever I can get to come back to Japan. I am glad you had such a great experience Emma. You rocked it so well. One thing though I tried to use the Ryokan site and found it difficult to use and could not find the Ryokan you stayed at in Asakusa. Cheers, from Muffy from Oz (Australia)

It's such a lovely area to explore. The Tourist Information Center designed by architect Kengo Kuma (which was visible from one of your balcony shots) is worth a visit (it's free) for the architecture and some of the views from the upper floors if you don't need actual information. Asakusa Station's Ginza Line connects to numerous stations which are hubs to other lines and elsewhere between the terminus in Asakusa and the one in Shibuya. That bath... so, so, jealous. Sigh.
