I STEAL ALL THE WHAT ?! | A Day in my Life @ Amrita School of Engineering

Hey everyone, it's Prince aka Helm1r. I am currently an Undergraduate student at Amrita School of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala. This is my first attempt at me trying vlogs and I have no prior experience, so I deeply apologize for the minor as well as major mistakes in the video. My main goal as of now is to post a video once in two weeks as I am busy with other priorities at college, but I promise that I'll make it up to each one of you by trying to be more consistent.
This is a video showing what I do in a day as an Amrita student. Hope you guys enjoy the video. Sorry for being three weeks late 😅

@@sangamrajyalakshmi-in5me ECE is pretty good in Amrita. I would say go for it. The average package would be somewhere close around 7 lpa - 10 lpa

Hackathons don't happen in our college and you might have to go to another college to attend a hackathon. We have a programming contest most of the time. And yes, any student can attend a hackathon, irrespective of their current bachelor's degree be it ECE, ME etc.

Aerospace is a pretty good stream to get into. I would just advice you to have a look at the syllabus before you decide to enroll in the course. But I would definitely say that it is worth it :))

They do offer it for English as a Bachelors course. They have German and Sanskrit for some streams like EEE but that is part of the curriculum and not as a separate stream.

AI is fine, robotics is not at the level it is supposed to be at. So I would recommend taking CSE or AIE instead

The thing is, the faculty just teaches you the basics and we would have to learn on our own from that point onwards. They do organise contests for programming. I think if you want a less strict college life, Amritapuri is pretty good

Yes you have the option to go abroad in your 3rd or 4th year. Ig the faculty recommends students based on their CGPA as well as their performance in research and other areas.

Ath vech maybe you might get into Mechanical Engineering (not certain). VIT and Amrita are almost at the same level. CSE um AI allathe placements kittan ithiri paad aan (Mechanical aalkarkum kittum) unless nee oru software based company vannal mathram kittan vazhi ollu

There are no washing machines in our hostel but you can give your clothes to a laundry shop close to the college. Wash rooms in hostel are cleaned every morning

Yes bro, there are a lot of North Indian students in our college, and I am friends with a few of them. We do have a football culture but at the same time, we do play other sports too. So it's not just football that we play in our college

Are you talking about admission on Merit? If it is, then ig one way is through securing a higher rank in the Amrita entrance exam. Besides that, I'm not sure whether they'll consider the 12th grade CGPA now as it has been a while since the lockdown restrictions have been uplifted (I joined in 2020)

With Amrita ECE, you might have to learn programming too on the side because most of the companies that come are software-based companies. With IIIT Manipur, you're already in CSE so that shouldn't be a problem. In my opinion, it all depends on what your end goal is. But I would probably say IIIT for now because you are offered the CSE program

Not really sure. There was one instance where my friend’s phone got snatched away by the warden telling her that she was not studying. But in other cases, no, I don’t think there’s any restriction of that sort (idk I’m just assuming from what my other friends told me so)

I'm not entirely sure as I am not from the ECE batch. But as far as I remember, I haven't met a lot of Tamil people(there are just 2 Tamil guys in my batch alone, which is AIE) in our college, maybe it's because the Coimbatore campus is an easier option for them. But tbh, our college is a bit more lenient when it comes to matters like going outside and so on. But yeah, there are very few Tamil people in ECE from my year. Hope this helps :)
