Something a lot of people seem to not understand is that you have different types of banned cards. You have cards that were too unfair, cards that were too strong, and cards that were just too splashable. the second and third category are all cards that could come of at any point and they wouldnt break the game, but some of them can make an impact and see heavy play. good example is pot of greed vs graceful charity; pot is not banned because of how strong or broken it is, but rather how needed it would be, there is 0 reasons to not play 1 2 or 3 depending on how many of it is legal as it is just pure advantage and playing with smaller deck. Graceful on the other hand even though neutral, sets up way more beacuse you get some GY set up with it, which opens much more unfair options

The thing many people don't understand is that the reason delinquent duo is on the banslist, is because it get rid of handtraps or turn-2 remuvals. Also it can be looped to discard your entire opponent's hand. And finally you could play ishizu cards, to clear your opponent gy, basically making them start with 1 card only next turn.

Already thinking about someone sitting on a baron, some other negation, an ash, and they delinquent duo me. A four card turn against 2-3 negates…luckily i main board deal ruler says no. I think we can reasonably assume the opponent is going to be able to put up 2 negates, if they start with some tutors. That being said, it would be funny if they made it legal just for the chance an ishizu card gets pitched. Worst case, someone opens shifter, and then pops delinquent. Now that would be annoying

@@SAKKI14 My _gut instinct_ is running infernoble knights + RML ftk, using a small world bridge with ash (any infernoble -> ash -> RML), use one of the lvl 1 infernobles to go into relinquished anima into selene (which will get RML from hand if you can get it there either from small world or something else), normal Isolde stuff, Charles as a backup for Gearfried. I think there's some potential here. Worst case scenario, if the FTK falls apart you still have a bad version of infernoble to fall back on. Which will be better than a lot of other FTK decks' fail cases. But you need some fine-tuning.

Nobody, not even MBT, has noticed that he's un-hit quite a critical mass of deep draw cards, _as well as all the Exodia pieces._ Every separate deep draw card he says "I don't think deep draw is particularly good with _this_ un-hit" without considering just how many different deep draw cards he un-hit, as well as the _two_ payoffs he un-hit in Magical Explosion and all 5 Exodia pieces. Deep Draw un-hits with this list: to 3: Exodia, Magical Explosion, Jackalope and Tsuchinoko (time to make Dante?), Card of Demise, Into the Void, One Day of Peace, Upstart Goblin, arguably Spellbook of Judgement (and maybe Instant Fusion?) to 1: Chicken Game (Pseudo Space is at 3), Mirage of Nightmare, Pot of Greed, Sixth Sense and of course the Bamboo Swords, Royal Magical Library, and Blasting the Ruins are already at 3.

Usually I'd say that putting all the pieces to 3 wouldn't change anything because "why would you run more than 1?" then I really thought about it and it actually opens up a lot for additional Exodia strategies. The main one that comes to mind is fitting room Exodia. You play 3 of each piece, 1 head, and use fitting room to flood the board with pieces. From there you can use deep draw tools. Make Saryuja. You could even run a small 3-Axis with Terrortop + Taketom to make Cherubini and send head.

@@tehy123 Garnets don't exist in Deep Draw mate. The definition of a Garnet is a searchable card you want in the main deck that you don't want to draw into. Deep Draw has no searching, it strictly draws the _entire deck._ If you meant the possibility of running out of draws by drawing too many non-draw cards, that's Bricking, not Garnets.

"Exodia is at 1 piece each for lore reasons" No, the most broken format in Yu-Gi-Oh's history was within roughly a year or two into the game when Exodia Solitare FTK was the only deck winning everything where every duel was quite literally decided by a coin flip. Sure it's less powerful now with hand traps, but even so that's still very breakable. Maybe each piece to two. at least then it's consistent enough to be more viable, but can still lead to ultra brick hands. Though even that might be super breakable.

@@winter945 If you have multiple pieces then that changes how you structure the deck. Rather than focusing on just drawing the idea is the focus more on recycling. There are so many self mil cards these days that if you fill more of your deck with pieces then you can send more to the grave and add to hand. Back in the old days this was how Exodia decks won so consistently, just dump then add to hand. We may not have cards like Painful Choice or looping Sangan anymore but modern formats have plenty of ways to mill and cycle these cards that anyone could figure out a very breakable strategy, especially with then other tools on this list legal.

The thing about Giant Trunade coming back is that we already have a version of the card that essentially does the same thing: “Hey, Trunade!”. It’s at 3, and against most backrow decks it essentially will work the exact same as Giant would. Is it broken? No. Is it even played? No.

Now a days IB can be a free Barronne De Flur, same with Denglong, actually there is a Master Duels combo that involves Denglong and ends on Barronne De Flur plus some other negates and a floodgate, nasty combo decks, and also The Chicken Game plus Pot of Greed and three of every Exodia piece can make a really strong and consistent FTK, I honestly would have unbanned Maxx "C" over Protos, cause you can play around it easier than Protos, and Broadbull over IB, cause Zoo is gonna be a go first or bust deck.

I don't think you have read Misc. It only protects Dinosaur monsters on the field and only during that Main Phase. Ghost Belle, Droll and Ash kills their turn at Scrap Wyvern (not a Dinosaur) if not sooner, leaving them on basically nothing. Ash Blossom kills their turn on the first Babycerasaurus (not a Dinosaur on the field), leaving them on nothing. Called By kills their turn at Misc (Banish + Negate), leaving them on nothing. Dimension Shifter kills their turn immediately. Nibiru kills their turn leaving them on nothing. Misc at 3 is fine, as the OCG proves.

at 1, not that impactful, what you said is best case scenario,in real world youll rarely draw 4, in caes you do you either already drew the nuts before and no need for 4 cards since your board is aids, or you got cooked and are praying, and no 4 cards will save you

@@nbassasin8092 there's a median between our takes. I see your point but something even somewhat similar to mine in the right deck is beyond broken. It reminds me of card of demise. Though you'd have draws just because you drew back row to set. Then slow the opponent down between the cards you have access to. Some decks would love to put 4 cards in grave for many reasons.

@@nomuzzle I may have made it seem like a bad card, its not that some decks wouldnt use it, they would, and it can grant you huge benefits, but it is the most situational out of all draw cards (even some legal ones are way better), and at1, it can work in some decks, but in those decks, at 1, it wouldnt even be a blowout card since those tend to be a lot slower so it would just be another card of demise with extra steps in them, Strong but aside from runick youd rarely see it since most decks that benefit from it dont have that much drawpower and at 1 its just a hail marry (you could search it with thrust but theres way better ways to utilize that card), and even in runick its debatable whether it is that good aside from floodgate variant, because if you are trying to control the board you like your spells in hand And in gy decks its actually worse, because in gy decks youll usually have either a full or a 2-3 cards hand, so youll rarely get the full impact of mirage, and the cards you couldnt vomit out of your hands are usually handtraps that you like to be there or combo pieces that could be good when sent to gy, but the accent is on could, whether it is better to send them oor summon them depends on the deck, and it is usually better to just summon them

Exodia is terrible, unlimiting the exodia pieces does nothing, its not optimal to play 3 copies of each exodia piece, if u do, thats 15 bricks, almost half of your hands will be unplayable

Protos can come back, sure it's searchable, but Swordsoul meta was way more fun than both Tear and Kashtira. Swordsoul sets up one omni negate, a field negate a a pop two and a banish from field and grave, but it's still not that good in the current meta. Protos isn't as good game 1 because you don't know what your opponent is playing. You can't predict what your opponent is playing, especially on a simulator. So all it does is call dark and hope the opponent is playing a majority dark deck. Other than that, it's not that hard to out. Colossus is way more annoying than Protos and people think it can come back. I completely disagree with that take.

bo3 and bo1 are completely different when it comes to Protos. In bo1 he is very strong, potentially bannable at best. In bo3 its not even a question, you are winning if you manage to summon him, which is backed up that the deck trying to summon him is one of the most interuption-resilliant decks ever created

@@nbassasin8092 99% of the time Protos is summoned on SS's 2nd turn, not the first. They always open with either Baronne or one of their Lv10s + the usual Lv8. Protos comes out when they are trying to recover from a board break and it usually just results in them dying anyway. And if you know you are playing against SS in bo3, you just add a bunch of boardbreakers since they have all the bounce / removal protection of a wet paper towel.

The Exodia pieces ARE limited for lore reasons. They could be at 20 copies and you'd only ever run 1 of each because they are the worst card in the deck and are all hard bricks until you get the 5th.

I feel like actually Exodia was limited because there was a meta Last Will Exodia deck in the OCG before there was a TCG, they overreacted by limiting all the pieces (they actually just needed the Last Will errata), and the TCG just followed their list and never changed it. The pieces were all at three in the manga, Rare Hunter plays three copies (meanwhile, Reborn was at 1 and Raigeki was banned).

I disagree with the red reboot take, specifically on one thing, most decks already autolose to a trap deck anyway if they dont draw duster/lightning storm/evenly matched, traptrix already dont care about feather duster and lothp stops lab back row being blown up as well, and they can all also run SJ, so its draw the out turbo anyway, meaning reboot is probably ok to come back to 3 if you really want back row hate in your side.

Thats why it was banned. Add more Backrow hate, Red Reboot being added to any deck just completely stops the Trap Deck, not even completely including the Backrow Hate. Giving more Backrow hate especially one that cannot be countered due to it being a Counter Trap+Stops any Trap Decks in 1 turn is just unfair for any Trap Deck which already dies easily with Lightning Storm+Duster+Any Common Pop in a Deck.
