That 352 is a beauty, it has the 352 / 359 front bumper. I'd drop a C model 3406 and a 13 speed road ranger with a Lipe clutch in it and put 150 gallon tanks on it and make these slant nose curb sniffers cry. She has a whole lot of potential and can be a money maker it just depends on how far you want to take it. Its your truck brother so do with it as you will and we'll keep watching, you're rather entertaining.

Two or more cabovers close to each other is a very rare site here in the USA🇺🇸 nowadays. I remember I saw cabovers everywhere back in the 1980s & down. Nowadays the only cabovers I see around are fire trucks, garbage trucks, yard spotters, crane trucks, concrete pumper trucks, small non semi trucks like those Isuzus, & a few other kinds of straight trucks. The length & weight limits increased which were what eliminated the need for cabovers.

Dirt Perfect has a project truck where he had to alter the umber of axles, he cut the frame in 2 and had blocks holding the pieces level, welded extension pieces to the frame and welded it back together. So the 6 by 6 retired army truck is now a 6 by 6 with a tag axle. I think he has a playlist for this project, Lt. Dan being it's name. it only needs a skilled welder and the extra lengths of frame steel to make a frame fit more axles.

Does not matter what type of wheels you run just make sure they are tightened right. Good to have a torque wrench. @@AndriaSmith-gp6ms yes I ride both on and off road I use it as an adventure riding bike so it will go anywhere I want it to and i like to ride the highways to get to destinations to take it off road up rivers, lakes and mountains back country areas. Great bikes I've owned 3 over years. Mine is the 600R model though 1994, very basic and mechanical which I like. I'm guessing your referring to the 650L very similar to the 600R and good also. The 650R is a completely different motor and bike altogether though and is a beast not to be confused with the 650L. not to many 650R over in usa have those registered for both highway and off road though more an off roader. I've ridden a few Harleys too but never owned one, I like Harleys too but a different kettle of fish. Depends what your into riding wise. If you more want to stick to highway and sealed roads Harleys are great and comfortable for it. If your wanting to do the odd bit of off road or even some dirt and gravel roads the 650L is definitely the way to go and opens up more options. Even though it's more an off road bike the 650 is still comfortable with fairly big cushioned seat and can handle road riding fine too imo. Goodluck with what ever you decide to get👍

That intake isn’t a bad idea as when doing offroad work you don’t get the dust swirling behind the cab, my freightliner argosy had a intake through the cab side wing but had to remove it when I fitted new exhaust shrouds, I never liked behind the cab intakes and wanted to have intake tubes like an aerodyne down the side of the cab so it picks up air at front of cab when driving on dirt roads
@fredswartz1969 Жыл бұрын
I believe the FLA or FLB cabovers had an air intake behind the grille, went into a vortex type air cleaner or precleaner. Details escape me now as it was the early 70’s I think and Freightliners really werent that popular in the Shenandoah Valley of VA (no dealers close). They also had a dual tube snorkel intake that had the inlets well ahead (maybe 12”) of the back of the cabover cab
