Hi Steve my name is Bob and I am a 70 year old ex OTR driver, Just want to say your videos bring back a lot of good memories from when I was driving. Please keep those videos coming. I always look forward to seeing Orwell and you. Stay safe out there Bob in Missoula Montana.

As you are in Missoula is that flattop FLD with the boat and jeep still moving from truckstop to truckstop? I had to stop driving two years ago due to an ocular stroke, I lost enough peripheral vision where I could no longer have a CDL. I did 22yrs OTR refrigerated, 21yrs with the same company out of Fargo.

Montana has no sales, income & property/excise taxes there. Billings & some main areas have local taxes. I know many there & prices are reasonable depends on what part you want to live in.

My family is from Butte. I was just in Butte from June 23rd to July 1st. I showed my parents this video, and they loved it. Also, I've been on top snow-covered mountains. Also, on June 25th, I tried to go to a lake that was in the middle of all that light you were seeing, and yes, it rained and hailed so hard on me

This is the smoke stack. The old Anaconda Copper Company smelter stack, completed in 1919, is one of the tallest free-standing brick structures in the world at 585 feet. The inside diameter is 75 feet at the bottom, tapering to 60 feet at the top. In comparison, the Washington Monument is 555 feet tall.

19:56 Having moved to Montana six months ago, i enjoy it much more than where i had been living for nearly thirty-two years. My life. I was born in Idaho just a few minutes drive from Ontario Oregon and remember it being a quite small town and not very busy to gradually being like Boise traffic in the last ten years. Town i moved to is a 12 to 13 hour drive depending on road conditions and if i am towing a loaded trailer, 720 miles with a population under 1,000 and reminds me of when i was a kid. Been back and forth several times. Would take the I-84, would take the Mountain Home ID exit and get on highway 20 to Arco ID hit the 33 and jump on 22 to Dobois and get on the 15 and go through Butte MT and go left to Helena MT and around the Great Falls MT area. Though during winter i prefer staying on I-84 to the 86 to then get on the 15 Been told it's an unusual year for the weather in the area. If you like a quite small town and almost no traffic, and friendly community, i recommend Montana Steve. I'd tell you which town but i don't want whoever else reads this to know where that's at.

Those watercraft inspection stations are out here in British Columbia too. Trying to stop the spread of Eurasian Millfoil weed to lakes where it suffocates the native fish species and makes boating hazardous. Probably trying to stop that mollusk that’s gotten into the Great Lakes too and plugs up water intakes etc…very hard to eradicate!

Another out standing ride along Big Guy. Such nice scenery with that cat humming. I live on the other side of the world in New Zealand and most of the trucks here are cab overs or short nose rigs mostly because of our roads and forestry roads being a little tight for the most part as far as I can tell but not being a Truck driver they may have a different take on it but thanks for the entertainment its so relaxing been there along for the ride. Cheers buddy.

Why dual? He's only got one intake into one turbo, what with it being a 3406B. A 3408 or an 8V92, sure, but he only really needs one and he's not exactly able to just stuff them under the cab or stick them out the sides like a conventional can.
@lornperkins4270
@lornperkins4270 11 ай бұрын
@danielseelye6005 I learned something from you so the engine would most likely have 2 turbos instead of 1 then you could do it right?
@danielseelye6005
@danielseelye6005 11 ай бұрын
@@lornperkins4270 The vast majority of trucks are running inline 6 cylinder engines, including "Orwell". There used to be V8s like the Caterpillar 3408 and the Detroit Diesel 8V71 & 8V92, but trucks usually run 6 cylinder engines. Because of the 6 cylinder setup, the air intake is all on one side of the engine going through a manifold after being compressed by the turbo. Since the air enters the engine in one place, it's not practical to have multiple turbos unless you want to compress the already compressed air even more, but then you run into extra heat in the air and other problems. All that to say, when the air is going in through the filter to the turbo, you really only need one filter. Older conventional trucks would have two filters hanging off the sides of the truck, but they would go into _one_ tube that fed into the turbo to be compressed. More modern rigs have one filter under the hood, but drawing air from slots on either side that _again_ combine into one pipe to the turbo. In the end, it only makes sense to have two air cleaners if you're running a V engine with two intake manifolds along with two turbos, one feeding each bank of cylinders. I could see maybe getting a snorkel setup for "Orwell" to get cleaner, cooler air which would help for power, more full combustion and perhaps less smoke but he don't need two air cleaners. Plus, as stated in my previous post, he's not exactly having available space to fit another air cleaner under the cab as crowded as it is.

Put some velcro on the prepass and put on the dash with the lights facing you. Green is bypass, red is pull in to the scale.
