Ricky Van Sheldon, in my opinion, is one of the finest country singers of all time. Noted for his gospel recordings and his pure country sound. He puts more emotion into his songs than just about any other singer. Hank Sr. and Johnny Horton are two of the others that compare.

My favorite singer since he came onto the scene. I was a member of his fan club as a teen, bought all his records even done a sketch of him and sent it to the fan club (they were supposed to send it to him, as an adult, I'm sure they didn't....) love his music, all oof it....but this is probably one of my absolute favorites ever. Miss hearing new stuff from him. Hoping he enjoys his retirement and quality time with his wife. They have certainly earned it!!!
