This song combined with the song title: gives me the vibes of it’s the dramatic build up to the final fight, and there’s this hopefulness to it as the hero prevails, only for this bittersweet melancholy to follow them through their supposed victory. Perhaps they lost all of their allies already to the previous battles, maybe they’ve realized to get to this point and scale in power they have lost all of their own sense of self and humanity- and now things can never truly be the same again.

They were called 'musickers,' and a big part of their job was providing entertainment on long voyages as well as hyping up the crew during boarding actions.

What if someone made this a combined boss level, where you play as Frisk, against all three trying just to prevent you from advancing, Toriel so you stay safe, Undyne so the monsters are free, different Hollow Knight bosses because... well, they're infected, and the two games' mechanics switch between each other so one second you're dodging fire and spears and the next you're dashing and slashing at the HK bosses

Later hearing faint metal on metal clashing and the sounds war, pain, fear.... but the one thing he hears, no feels through all of the noise, chaos, lightheadedness of his wounds and exhaustion is the feeling of everyone's hopes hidden by the cacophony, so he must continue to fight, to stand defiant and win...even at the cost of his own life.......

The video is very well put together and the song is well built, really loved following the process to get to the end result and the end result is pretty darn good too! Great job! However, I’m all for the idea of mixing different sounds and ideas from other genre with cinematic/orchestral music, but the drums felt unjustified here since they were the only thing coming from the dubstep genre, I would’ve added maybe a few synths to at least justify them or made the mixing/mastering more like I would with a dubstep track. Anyways, that was well done!

I know that this was inspired by Undertale and Hollow Knight, but the song overall reminds me of something from Fire Emblem: Three Houses' OST, since it has a lot of hybrid orchestral/electronic style songs that sound similar to this. Regardless, this was really cool, and I like orchestral/electronic hybrid music too, it's a style that's somehow still relatively unexplored
@pandalion3422 жыл бұрын
congrats, you used all the instruments I like in one thing. this is why music is amazing in my opinion actually, because I know how to play maybe two or three (depending on how you classify "play", because I'm absolutely terrible at piano despite being capable of playing multiple songs on it because I only learnt it from learning glockenshpiel on the internets). composers are probably the people I look up to most when it comes to the form of art yall do because I know I'll never understand how you make it sound as wonderful as it does (and I tried, by god I tried, my show I'm writing needs themes for characters and I was sitting in front of my instruments for hours trying things before giving up because that's so difficult). I can understand how writing and visual arts work because I'm "good" at those, I went to courses teaching me how to use references for drawings, my grandma who was a local sculpting legend taught me how to mold the clay, and my dad writes and always encouraged me to write, too. but music? for all that my family has it in our blood (and as a component in our last name), and for all that I learnt multiple instruments and our house has more than what your song has, I'll never understand how to write music like that. it's amazing. wow.

Dude. The story of this song, the emotion. Taking from such an uplifting heroic song and 2 very SOMBER and dramatic songs to make this piece of gold is something else. The story I get from this song is so good, so clear. This song has the vibes of either a peak fight for the hero or a final fight. Either this hardest challenge theyve faced so far, or the final fight of their whole journey. Theyre down, any allies they have arent doing too well either. The hero is hanging on by a thread, that spark of hope pushing them forward. With one final push, they stand strong against the threat. Whether they surpass it or not we cant tell from the song quite, but you can SO feel the drive to keep fighting till either the hero or the villain goes down Well done Tarro, just freaking AMAZING
