Jester triggers on Guilty and Abstain Votes, and because the Marshal's Tribunal doesn't cause a Vote (it goes straight from Nominate to Hanging), Jesters hung by it don't get to kill anyone.

It's only that way because of the mod they are using. According to the wiki, in the base game Jesters can pick anyone if they get voted out during a tribunal

If a tribunal is called and a Jester is hung, not only does the jester win, but they get to kill ANYONE still alive. It's a much simpler way of getting the 'haunt a revealed mayor' achievement. Edit: The developers have clarified that the above is the INTENDED interaction in patch notes, but Marshal was bugged for a bit after release.

I’m happy to see a new ToS2 video since they’re always so fun and chaotic! The games may not have all ended in victory, but they still served to entertain and made my day a little better! Cursed Soul continues to add a fun level of confusion to the games and I’m enjoying the 50/50 when it comes to receiving a new role, even if those didn’t always go Ze’s way. I’m still hoping an update will be made to allow the role some form of basic attack in case the CS ends up with a non-killing role. Thanks for another great video, Ze! I look forward to the next one!

Another idea about Cursed Soul. Since its purpose is to bring chaos to the town, it could have a random chance to win at the start of each day which depends on the percentage of dead players. If 9/12 players are dead, there's a 75% chance that it will win as long as it's alive. And to not make it a content killer, revive one dead player and give them the role that Cursed Soul had with its default faction. So if a Cursed Soul wins and leaves town while holding a Jailor role, a Wildling could suddenly get revived as Town Jailor... maybe permanently blackmailed, so they're unable to talk and rat out their team.

But also, that's why it's chaos. Especially if it could "revive" a pirate that won and left the town, dragging them back into the game.

I don't know the specifics, but there's a chance you just fail to get a role, but if you succeed you'll either get the person's role, or a random person's role, so you could target 1 for soul swap, and end up swapping with 7
