Wow! So sorry you went through this. I agree that it’s quite unfortunate that they didn’t try to reach out to the manufacturer. Talk about missed opportunities! Geez! I think I would have made the same decision you did. Thank you for having such a great channel and for making DIY projects around the home so easy to understand. If HD doesn’t have it on the shelf, don’t mess with it. I’ve heard a few horror stories about special orders there. Most if their people are OK but their system is set up for store sales.

Very similar to what has been going on with my kitchen cabinets and trim packages. Uggh. It has set me back at least 3 months on finishing my project and getting my house rented. Somewhere out there are two pieces that say they were shipped (one which was supposed to be delivered Sept 9, it is now Nov 18) but once on the tracking page that is as far as it goes and no one has a clue where they ended up. Add in the installers broke two corners on one cabinet and it had to be reordered online as it was not in stock anywhere close so now I wait for tyat too. We won’t mention the extra 5 30” cabinets that showed up (mine are 36”) and are not listed anywhere. Like your experience the people who are hands on in the stores have been great (even they shake their head in disbelief). It is their ordering and fulfillment process that breaks down.

I have been using home depot for over 20yrs as a contractor and never had this issue,or any that i couldnt fix in afew hrs..but i have heard of storys over the yrs..

Good to hear. It was probably a localized issue with one store... but that happened to be my only option. It took an absurd amount of my time to manage the situation.

You and everyone else who has made the mistake of purchasing anything they had to order and wait for delivery on. Every story, no matter the home project, when it comes to dealing with Home Depot is the same....confusion, frustration, lies on their part and the worst organization coupled with poor customer service a company could ever provide or not as is the case. Its nationwide & company-wide. Pathetic. You were nice despite everything they put you through.

And you know what they homedepot has done now? After all that we went through, spending $4000.00 in appliances and install home depot says as an apology they would install the dishwasher (WTF) any moron can install the appliances but thats not the point we were told they would deliver unpack install clean up NONE OF THAT HAPPENED! I think we all need to get together with a class action law suit, and making them hurt where it will do the most hurting ; in their wallets! HOME DEPOT SUCKS!

Customer service, the agents want to do the right thing but the people that seat somewhere listening to every call, are bastards and will not let agents do their jobs, they want agents off the phone and they have metrics they keep breaking your balls every day, they will call you and ask, WHY DID YOU TELL THIS TO THE CUSTOMER!" They want agents to lie and get off the call fast. Then they expect the agents to get good feedbacks after forcing them the not help the customers...A worked for a company by the name of Arise that hires home depot customer support agents and the people behind the scene controlling the agents are nasty morons that have nothing better to do than break balls. It is never about the customers, it is about them and their stupid home depot chant on every meeting.

‼️Nov 2023 - Home Depot delivery was 5 days earlier without any phone call or contact from them. Came home to find the $2000 Appliance on the front yard, no fence, no responsibility. WE NO LONGER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT ‼️

I was a Home Depot affiliate (linked to and promoted products on my channel). But because of my poor experience as a customer, I ended my affiliate relationship. I can't recommend someone use a company if I know they may not be treated very well.

Yeah... I'll post a part 2 video at some point. I had to get these materials for my job and they're the only vendor. Spoiler alert: I have MOST of the stone now... HD just refunded me today for what they don't have... again. I ordered on 10/16. It's been interesting to say the least

They are the worst so called home improvement store I've ever seen in my life! Their main problem in my opinion is their horrible and extremely bad customer service in my opinion AND it starts from the very top at their headquarters in Atlanta on Paces Ferry Rd. Unbelievable to say the least! 🛻🏗️🧱🧰😒🙄👎🏾
