I feel like you are approaching this in a specific way that works for you. Having a hard grind mindset is extremely effective for a lot of people. However, I feel like this in no way catches the entire picture for many others. Doing something that is going to suck the life out of you isn't always worth doing, even if it may temporarily boost you towards your goal. In your example of the race (Which many times reaching our goals in life is not) comparing yourself against others and thinking about how well they are doing is completely unbeneficial to people, while it may be a great motivator for others. The reasons I'm developing my game has a lot to do with loving the process, not just being purely focused on the end result. The idea of getting the worst part of the day over with is something that sounds great in theory, but for some, the thought of waking up and the first thing you have to do is something you hate, only pushes them to go back to sleep, or escape reality even harder. Yes, reaching goals is going to take a lot of hard work, and your not always gonna want to do it, but at the same time, who says you need to get it all done right away? I just want to let people know, for some, giving up playing roblox is a great and necessary decision to help them reach their goals. For others, giving up roblox will mentally drain and suck the life out of them, only making reaching their goals even more difficult. One thing I think is important, is not how fast we're going, or how hard we are pushing, but rather making sure we are facing the right direction in the first place. If we are slower than 99% of other developers, but we are going in the right direction, that is still a win in my book. For others, that may not be. But please don't hate yourself because you are not as fast or good as someone else. Everyone is different, so everyone's path will be different. Push yourself to be greater than you are, just don't push yourself down unless that is what you truly want your path to be. I hope this helps. =)

the way i see it there isnt a point at all of developing games on roblox if your not gonna play roblox... if your goal is money or to have created a popular game you have better chances using unity, rpgmaker, unreal engine or other game softwares (especially if your going for money). if you plan on making a game for the sake of making a game roblox is still a good choice tho due to simplicity. its all dependent on what your goals are.

This video is weird and barely had anything to do with game development, it's literally just the same advice everyone gives you nowadays. Here's a tip if you want to be a good game designer or developer: DO PLAY video games. Play the video games that are praised to be "masterpieces" and try to learn from them. This black and white people only really work for (with all due respect) dumb people that can't have nuance and balance in their life and must focus on extremes. Do whatever makes you feel content and achieved, and if you're not feeling either then quit and do something else. If this "grindset" just doesn't seem to be working for you, chances are you're capable enough to see the nuance in things and can control your life without some arbitrary code of conduct looming over you. People claim they "break out of the matrix" by following these ideologies, yet they don't realize they're just being indoctrinated into another, smaller, "matrix".
