I Straight Piped My R56 Mini Cooper S!!!

I straight piped my 2012 R56 Mini Cooper S by having a shop cut the factory exhaust right after the downpipe. This deleted the resonator, muffler and cat. The shop installed a 2.5" stainless pipe with a 3 inch dual tips. The car sounds amazing!

Thanks for that vid mate, I’m driving a 2011 Jcw stage 1 remap so my HP is up to 232 and Torque 287, I’m running on 99 fuel and in a couple of days having her straight piped, I’ve even thought of a rear seat delete and lighter racing buckets but to be honest she is plenty quick already, I’ve had a total dethrone tinted lights lowered suspension and wheel spacers,, I’ve owned everything from 911 to M3 but the JCW is the best fun in the world.

I have straight pipe to the rear muffler and on long trip its still loud so i wonder to remove rear muffler and put 2 resonators on each pipe how it will be if someone try this please let me know how it goes

They charged me $250. The tips were included on the sale. Its a burn tip dual output. That was a local shop.

did you change the downpipe at all? is it just the second cat removed? or both? what exactly has been removed or replaced in the exhaust system. also, dont you get a check engine light after removing the cat?

I still have my downpipe. On the video I show under the car where you can see where they cut the pipe. 2nd cats are gone, muffler gone.

@@jordanclark394 yup it was stock. If you did like me, then swap your dp and it will be louder. However you need to tune it to stg 2 to remove the cel and get more boost
