Isabel we made it through the hard parts of the winter! We moved to Washington in October from San Diego. What a change. We bought a 100 year old home on 6 acres. We dealt with power outages, frozen pipes and water rising near our property and even our first snow! The snow lasted a day which was nice. Now when I step outside I see flowers slowly blooming and wild yellow daffodils opening. It gives me hope that we are on the horizon towards something beautiful to come. I completely agree that we’ve made it through the hard parts. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. ❤

You are so clever Isabel, you master everything you put your hands to. The dress you made is beautiful so suited for you. I live alone like you when spring is here I spend most of my time outdoors. I must admit I give in to the winter months. The reason I do it gives me time to catch my breath do what ever I want to do, when spring comes I am busy constantly from early morning until sometimes dark, after dark if I have burning to do. I think this is the reason I like winter it is lime a vacation, me time. I enjoy the beauty that I am surrounded with as I live by a lake. I had to learn not to be so hard on my self if I took some time off, down time to read a book or go on my tablet. We will be very busy very soon before we know it spring will be here, the days are getting longer, sun is brighter we are getting there Isabel.

Absolutely wonderful to hear the birds returning to SW Missouri. They are beginning their mating process and building new nest from all of natures materials that fell to the ground during the heavy snows. And I’m beginning to make my major chores list for this year. Have a few from last year to finish buts it only a full days work. Whether you have just a yard to landscape or thousands of acres to plant or heard of animals to feed and care for all that matters is to get outside and dug into the earth than smell it and crush it in your hands the giving thanks to the Lord our God who will give you bounty from your toils.
