It's crazy. We live in different parts of the world, yet you are describing perfectly how I have been feeling this past week or so. I live in Bountiful, Utah, USA. We have amazing snow here. We even hosted the Winter Olympics in 2002. This winter has been so very different. We have been in a drought for the majority of the past 20+ years. The Great Salt Lake has been drying up, and I see it from my home in the mountains every day, and I fear what will happen if it continues that way. However, our prayers were answered this winter. We have had more snowfall this year than any other year previously recorded. It has been incredible, and very welcome. That said, the past week or so has been very difficult. My birthday was on March 31st, and almost always my birthday is a marker for springtime. But not this year. It has been snowing, and snowing, and snowing. It seems like it shall never stop! I was laying here in my bed, not really feeling like doing anything, but I was gazing out the window. I had to look away, as I was getting snow-blindness. Even when I looked away and closed my eyes, I could still see the leftover impression of the harsh light in my eyes. So I know how you are feeling. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home and life with me. It helps me to know that there are kindred spirits out there, who understand. Now if I only had a freezer full of wild blueberries, I think that would make everything so much better! Ah well, c'est la vie! God bless, and here's hoping that spring will come soon, giving all of our lives warmth and newness!

Jonna, i live above the Arctic circle in northern Norway, so when you started to describe how terrible you feel with this bright light reflecting off the snow, I was so relieved to know that I’m not the only one who just wants a cozy dark time where I can light candles and wear woolly sweaters all the time. ❤

@@ShadowRider126 as Jonna mentioned, it‘s not the Sun itself that’s causing the problem, but the reflection of it on the bright white snow, the glare. White reflects most of the light while darker surfaces absorb some of it. So when you are constantly surrounded by snow, it is so bright that it hurts your eyes, almost as looking directly into the sun. So light sensitive people can suffer even more from headaches.

For anyone following Jonna's videos from abroad: This spiritual and exploratory relationship to nature has very old root in nordic culture. We scare misbehaving children with the wolf coming to get them. Not that long ago we told tales about mighty Gods that explains things we observe in nature. We see dead relatives in animals we meet. All of this goes way back in time. I am not a spiritual person but I recognize that there is something timeless in the way we relate to nature in the nordic countries. There is a self interest in understanding the flows and cycles in nature. I guess it ties back to survival. In Sweden we have this old book that farmers used. It is called "bondepraktikan" and it was use to interpret what was going on in nature. This tradition lives on to this day. Entire classes of kids are sent into nature to be trained into recognizing specific bird calls and how things work in nature.

Jonna, you are the epitome of Mother Nature. Your voice is so soothing, like a gentle breeze rustling the leaves of trees. You and Johan are the couple of the century with such great magnetism. And it is wonderful to see both of you giddy, joyfully elated as you relax and enjoy sipping on your delightful berry juice. Peace & love to all...xo ✌I look forward to your creations in the new studio. ❤

Dear Jonna ; I feel it when you post an episode which means we are connected through spirit. Your episodes are healing even as you tear pieces off the ceiling😉. I shared your “4 million viewers” video with my college students who were so depressed by the last 3 years. I could not think of a better way to cheer them up…and me too ! This transition is a test for everyone to listen to their hearts and let go of old plans in order to be ready for The New Earth👍❤️ it is coming!

I just wanted to say thank you, Jonna. I've been subscribed for a long time but I haven't seen one of your videos in a while. These last few months have been really emotionally hard for me as I've been battling with a lot of anxiety and just not knowing what direction to go in life, and today in particular I woke up feeling SO low energy and I didn't feel like I could do anything today except take a long hot shower and cuddle up in blankets. I happened to see this video in my recommended and I clicked on it, not at all expecting how wonderful and genuine and comforted it would make me feel. I can imagine I am there with you renovating the house and trudging through the snow to get berries. It's a real reminder of how beautiful life is and how we can make our lives whatever we want. Thank you so much.

It is wonderful to see Johann relaxed and talking more. He has a beautiful way about him. 😊 Your interactions are charming and your love is palpable. ❤ Johnna, I hope your migraines resolve soon. Your making so much progress on your studio. It is looking light and airy. All of the natural elements that you are uncovering are a treasure! I think the more hard work you put into your studio the more creative your space will be. The place where you create art can be a conduit to your muse and she will be awakening very soon!

This blog literally had my mouth touching the floor, even growing up in Michigan (USA) I've never seen a place basically covered in painted cardboard before. Made me super happy to see you recover the original wood textures! I can't wait to see how beautiful it is when you're finished, I have full confidence that it will be unrecognizable (in the best way possible ofc)

Thanks for sharing your nervous moments Jonna and the laughter! I used be afraid in a dark forest or in an open desert at night; scared from my mind racing of what wild animals would attack me. Now I have a calm and wonder of all the life both above ground and under the ground so I often just stop and listen to “everyone” to connect- past and present.

I’ve loved this Chanel for four years now, I become nervous as Y. Tubers begin to introduce certain topics, the world needs no more Greta’s, Climate Agendas, meat vs no meat. We have been bombarded terribly by big corporate takeover. And many of these YT people sellout to these large corporations who exploit them, as they both make big dollars. It’s never the same once they go down this road, I’m not against hard working people, and Jonna certainly is, if she can do it without interference. Amen to that! ❤

Jonna ripping the paper from the ceiling while whipsering "Noooo, Jonna stop... I can't stop" is the cutest thing ever😍 I would have so much fun renovating and I love to watch you transforming that house ❤ Also I really feel your pain with the brightness. You're such a gem of a woman, Jonna, giving this video the title "I struggle right now". Watching you at work for a while, I see you struggle with the boards, and stripping the ceiling paper. But your energy never really leaves you, is it? Of course, we don't see the hours of resting and sleeping much, and I can imagine you are tired in a healthy way, after a day's work on your house, transforming it so beautifully. You're an artist with joy for life 🙏

It's honestly pretty comforting for me to hear that you struggle with migraines too and yet you're able to make such a beautiful impact on the world. This season my migraines have been so intense and it has made me so discouraged because I feel like it prevents me from being as creative and energized as I wish I could be. But seeing you, I recognize that maybe the migraines are a sign that I need to rest and recover in service to the creative energy like you, and even more than that, maybe the struggle can deepen my creative practice. Thank you so much Jonna.

Fun fact about blueberries found in Sweden: they aren't the same as the blueberries in the rest of the world. In English they are called bilberries from the Danish word "bollebær" which means "dark berry". They are only found in the northern hemisphere. They have more pigment and are richer in taste than the common blueberry.
@silje8711 Жыл бұрын
Yeah it's curious, we call them blueberries in Norway as well and they are everywhere during the autumn (at least here in the north).
@thatsalt1560 Жыл бұрын
They are the same all over Europe and probably Russia too. It's the American ones that are different and those that are grown in gardens. Those are nice too, but you are so right about the wild European blueberries being more flavourful. (Now I checked with the Wikipedia and it says about 11 % of the Swedish forest land is covered with blueberry shrubs. 😮 )
