Congratulations on your decision! Please definitely do a real exchange semester, I spent half a year in America, 4 months of which I spent at university and 2 months travelling, it was a really great experience! I've never travelled so much in such a short time and was on a plane every few days, but America is big and the train connections are bad. If you are doing an exchange semester in Europe, I would advise you to take an Interrail ticket, which allows you to travel all over Europe relatively cheaply on fast trains.

Oh wow, that's so awesome to hear! I'm unfortunately going to be graduating at the end of the year, so no more "studying" abroad for me. I would totally love to go back to Europe though, so that's good to know!

@@CasualDorkGriff You could go to grad school in Europe, in some countries it's free, even for foreigners (I have to pay for it though, but much less than in America). Then you should have enough time to travel around. :)
