Yes, this video has a lot going on for her, but I love it.
At UChicago, everyone must take a full year of SOSC (a core requirement where we read philosophy over a wide range of eras). The SOSC class that I’m currently taking is called “Power, Identity, Resistance” - Pretty neat.
Soooo, after writing two papers this quarter, we were given a ~fun~ final project: Talk about a concept from Émile Durkheim’s Division of Labor in Society as it relates to some other contemporary idea. Therefore, you will see me attempt to teach you a bit about ANOMIE as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hopefully, I’ll be like the ~cool teacher~ that you wish you had me teaching you philosophy. This video did take me probably around 10 hours to make, but I like it, sooo… worth it?
