hiya!! the place i interned at is the same tiny firm i did my year 12 work experience at! i just kept in regular contact with the director and updated him w my university work etc and he eventually suggested that i intern for a couple of weeks over summer. so just try to network and (even tho it feels like ur pestering them) stay in regular contact with registered architects!! makes all the difference ❣️

hiya!!! best of luck w finishing high school! honestly just really delve into the things you find interesting!! read up loaaads about projects/subtopics that you love and create lots of things! getting into the habit of knowing how to curate development work (i.e. progress drawings/showing ur ideas) and sketching is always good. honestly i had no clue i was going to do architecture until the end of year 12 (which is the equivalent of your junior year), so don't worry too much about preparing for uni. you're not expected to know much technical stuff. as for internships - connections!!! i knew no one in the industry until i asked my art teacher who got me in contact w a friend of hers who did the graphics for this small firm. don't be afraid to ask and reach out!!
