Town of Salem is a social deduction game similar to Among us and Goose Goose Duck. Among Us/Goose Goose Duck allows you to play the game with up to 4-15 players, Town of Salem allows up to 15 players in a single game.
Like Among Us/Goose Goose Duck, you can be good or evil with factions such as Town, Mafia and Neutrals. Among/Goose Goose Duck us has 2 roles (without mods), town of salem has 33 different characters in the base game. Town of Salem is a great alternative to Among Us/Goose Goose duck if you're looking for another game in the social deduction genre. I just had the best arso game of my time. Claimed survivor on day 1 which was pretty stupid of me, but everyone trusted me and we eventually got to N5. There was a townie, 4 maf and me, the arso. I hadnt ignited yet and I did get hypnod at one point i believe, but we were all gonna lynch the townie as I was “siding” the maf. All of them were saying flawless maf game and I pretty much agreed with them. The best part of all of this is that I had all of the mafia doused. There was a dead medium who seanced me, and asked if I was arso. Once they found out I was, they hyped me up and said BURN THEM. And that is exactly what I did, putting “flawless maf game” onto my deathnote. Never in my life was I cheered on so much by ALL of the opposing factions in my life. Today was a good day.

survs get lynched if there aren't other leads so you want to claim surv only if you are a role that once it goes on the stand he has a button that they can push to be immediatly put down, and that button is either the reveal button or the "I am jailor" button

Ahh ...haven't had a mayor reveal in a while. I remember being mayor, town gets nuked by an arso, and two survs sided arso. I'm asking questions cause hey...idk who the actual surv is but arso said "and this is why you don't douce survs." Bingo. Voting starts and I'm voted. Revealed and voted the arso. Supriiiiise. End game chat was epic.

I just had a game 2 days ago where I was consig claiming sheriff whispering all my results to the surv claim 'because they died as I checked them, and I had nobody else I could trust to whisper them'. Got to final 3 and I out myself as maf and they reveal.... I had to check the names to make sure that wasn't this game

so often do I claim surv as the mayor. seemingly works unless there is a trigger-happy vigi on the loose, or a jailor who loves wasting swings of their axe on neutrals.

To be fair it's not really a waste when real survs have no obligation to side town and majority of surv claims end up actually being fake evils.

@@pcu9284 Information sharing outside of the game. Two players, according to one of them via whispers, were in some sort of vc/call and obtained that information that one of them was jest. Why else would a Jester leave the game lobby after getting hung, only to not even get the rewards for said win?

Two people were in a vc/call/whatever and were cheating. Hence why the jester got hung off of zero information so quickly. In the day chat you can see, I think it was 8, saying that one of them whispered them (whispered 8) saying they were friends. It's ok to play with friends, it's ok to even be in a call with them, it's not ok to cheat. I sheep friends all the time in discord calls, it's hilarious and fun; no need to cheat to have fun. Just... make your friends angry at you.... like being a crusader who goes on someone who is poisoned when a friend in the call is a "doc claim" trying to heal them of said poison. >:)

I had 1 good game & 1 interesting game just today. Interesting game: I'm jailor in this game & d2 a PM claiming sheriff calls a ww still unknown to town sus on N1 when that is impossible. N2 I chose to take a risk and act on that jailing & exeing the unknown WW who tried to claim vigi. D3 the "sus" person found by the "Sheriff" n1 is revealed & right away he get's called out as fake and hung. Good Game: I get mayor & claim surv day 1 & 2 but sadly I have to reveal d2 to avoid being hung. I somehow make it to the end of the game without a single TP to protect me. The last day it came down to a Mayor[me], a Pirate[who had just pirated me] and 2 Mafia[1 claiming vigi & the other claiming psy]. Who wins this game.....ME THE MAYOR.....I hung the "Vigi" and asked the pirate to pirate 5 if game did not end. Pirate did as I kindly asked since I didn't turn around & lycnh him for pirating me & the last maf got hung the next day. I named that pirate an honorary member of the town & thanked him for his help. :)

I think people get caught up when there's a pirate in the lobby and automatically assume they are a +1 for their faction, even though pirate is neutral chaos. Chaos doesn't have to always be evil persay; one can always be a town pirate. My favourite playstyle though is if I lose the duel to someone they get to direct who I pirate from then on out. It works wonders for getting immunity from existing factions as long as you keep up your end of the bargain.

@@xsomewhattoxic Yeah I never play a pirate as evil if I can avoid it. I will start off by pirating people who are silent then go for the non-claimers and if one faction contacts me asking me to side them I might depending on how the game has been going. As a pirate I only ever get killed by mafia who hasn't been paying attention to anything in the game but that rarely happens.
