In bots 2 they redid vampires so you convert to your side but they keep their role toll the vamp dies then shift to vampire

Correct me if I'm wrong, but game 1 you were 0/3 for the achievement, right? The way it's worded it only counts protecting from an attack, not a visit from a-bit-too-curious PM.

I don't get it, why do evils give up so fast? You would think a role where you have to lie and cause chaos would be kinda fun

Majority evil from day 1 (even if you count pirate as town) is though.

I know a lot of roles were removed from TOS2 to change the dynamic between living/dead chat and kingmaker scenarios, but I will forever regret them taking our vampires. Not even a gamemode. Not a custom faction, where roles just change to grey instead of green. We got apocalypse gods instead of vampires, and I will always say that was the wrong option. Coven town and various NKs like ww and sk fit into the theme, but apocalypse gods instead of vampires? Just not right. This game is lovely, but the devs focus on the wrong things at the wrong times for the wrong reasons. VH was unironically my favourite role, then invest, then medium, and now THEY ARE ALL DEAD. Turned to dust like a fart in the wind. And yes, I loved medium, shut. Survivor could so easily be changed to an NE that needs to survive for 5 days or until the end of the game, and then leaves town, with 3 vests. Or survive for 3 days in a row without using a vest. Either works, instead, it got removed for role bloat and now there's 10 more roles to replace what we lost, and half are TP. Transporter was unfun with multiple of them, so make it unique. Make it a tpower, even, so as to not break 'any town role except tpower can happen twice 😋'. Hypnotist being simply removed, and enchanter/illu for some reason being separate roles. All in one, call it dreamweaver. Thank you for reading my rant. Assuming you did.

I think people hated vamps cuz of the alignment swap. You could be winning as town, then a vamp bites you. Now you went from winning, to losing.

Bers faking spy, seeing breads? I'd say that's almost certainly intentional considering Famine and Soul Collector, that's a win condition getting lynched, pirate just messed up the guaranteed win.

Was it BToS2 that modified how Vamps work? Biting a player converts them to Vamp team, keeping their role, unless the Vampire dies - in which case, they then promote to Vampire role. Doesn't solve the "I was suddenly forced onto a losing team" issue, but keeping your role was an interesting change.

The vampire in btos 2 operates differently. It can convert townies to vampires but they keep their role until eldest vampire dies.

If you use “better wills” I think it’s called, the mod, it well let you see wills during start of day, even though that shouldn’t even be needed
