There is usually a "Small job upcharge" This guy is taking time out from other, bigger jobs, to do this little basement. Honestly, I don't know why they were talking money after the fact, any contractor I know, would have had an estimate agreed upon beforehand. This was probably done for the camera.

We gotta Marcy adjustable bench along with a quad extension and hamstring curls. The barbell has so many uses and I can literally back squat of the back of the bench press. Dumbbell rack only up to 30 pounds. A stationary bike. And cable machine with a 200 pound weight stack. Lat pull downs, chest fly, chest press, shoulder press, rows, anything and everything with cables. All in our garage. Final cost:$800

I can definitely relate to putting together a full gym in a confined space, I had to put together a full gym in a house built in 1910, can we save very little headroom in the basement?! It took me almost three years to complete but I have everything that a full gym has to offer minus the headroom of course. That was a really nice thing you did for them putting that gym together, well done👍
