The real horror here isn't the zombie hordes but the overly complicated drawn out crafting

I had a horde base idea with the motes. 2 blocks wide, 7 blocks deep. Bottom level -> Top Level: Chests - Hoppers - wood signs - lava - wood signs - wood signs - Top level is water that pushes the zombo's into the lava trench. Hoppers collect the drops for you that you just access below from the comfort of your base. Heck if you're hurting for iron for hoppers, use water to push everything to the chests.
