im currently 800 days into a modded world using terralith for my biomes. i love it, one thing we didnt really see in this vid is the different trees that are used, you get azalea leaves on jungle trees in some biomes for example. its also really really lag friendly compared with other biome mods. one thing i noticed is that i am missing a lot of the terralith biomes you have in the end and nether, perhaps because of other mods getting in the way. would love to see this as a series, or even a long term modded world. you are becoming one of my favourite YTers rad!

Thanks, I definitely didn't show off everything in this one. I wanted to get the house done but you're right - I only show off the monoscale tree early on then don't show the leaves and such. There's SO MUCH to Terralith. That purple biome where I got the calcite is soooooooo nice and I didn't even show off my favourite Terralith biome in the ENTIRE video. As you say, perhaps a series or long term from this would make it easier to show the rest of the world off more. :)

The Nether and End biomes are added by Nullscape and Incendium, which is pretty much Terralith for the other two dimensions.

In particular I'd like to see what you could do with some create mod farms or even some of the modded redstone contained in mods like supplementaries or quark. You are really good at farms and mechanics and it would make a change to see a more farm focussed play through of modded. Also create is super popular ATM. I Would still watch the hardcore series though,.that's one of the only vanilla series I watch.

This is so interesting. Love, love the take that it makes vanilla MC more challenging. I see how that's true. If you're still inspired by the world, I say continue it. Lots to see and explore. Videos getting *really* tight. It feels like there's been an increase in the number of shots, and it makes the storytelling so seamless. Really, really great.

Yeah! It really was a LOT more difficult in some ways ... and I love Minecraft but vanilla definitely feels "too easy" sometimes to me. I feel like once you have Elytra even Terralith is less scary but not entirely safe. I almost jumped into SO many ravines and over so many cliffs in the End and both would've instantly ended my life. Not the world thankfully but ... yeah the tall grass made creepers worse, the spawning of ghasts made that harder ... it was super interesting.

If I hadn't done a recent "mushroom island base" I'd move there and bring the village people with me. I said what I said. End raiding & exploring was some of my favourite stuff in here. Only thing I dislike about Terralith is it makes vanilla biomes more rare, and when all of my structure mods spawn in the vanilla biomes only, it feels more sparse, but it’s fine

That's very true. I wish the "blending" of terralith and vanilla was better and it didn't feel like "only" Terralith. If I could set idk maybe some kind of % or a slider or a set "1/3, 2/3, full terralith" it would prob be that much better.

OMG those spawns are INSANE. this is a epic mod id love to play it definitely need a back pack or chest boat LOL hehehe Gru (need a minon now) love the shaders against all the different sceneries Lily pads are very dangerous OMG the nether is insane.. you had 8 ghasts that i counted on way back there is WAY to much to bring up and talk about, but i love this world and would love to see more about it that is a crazy end island.. OMG.. the end.. the glowstone plants are cool and the ends biomes are CRAZY GOOD just.. WOW.. Great video. I always love your style and would love to see this series as a world you go to when you need a break from hardcore. I really would love to see you as an explorer categorizing and chronicling this strange world for future travelers. That way you can do lots of traveling and then take bits back to home base to create builds with. So you don’t have to go crazy with farms like the hardcore world, and can just enjoy the adventure.

I like that idea - exploring & categorizing ... this could be one of those type worlds for SURE. My initial "build idea" was to put a castle "falling off" one of those islands, like it had been floating there for 1000s of years and the land started falling away under it. You have to render those chunks - but the black in t his is because I'm in one of the cave layer modes and I have it setup wrong. I could make it look better with a different mode (the 2nd button on the lower left t hat looks like an A)

You should next do it with Terralith and Tectonic combined, that makes the mountains much cooler and makes mountain ranges that are thousands of blocks long. Also, the elevation changes are crazy, in a distance of 200 blocks the elecvation can go from y=60 to 320. If you wanna take it even further, try reterraforged worlds with distant horizons and y=2032 mod

@@RadicalElder Tectonic makes the landscape MUCH harder to traverse, so I would like to see you do a survival series on that. Though if you want to take it to the next level, try out reterraforged with distant horizons and Iris Shaders, it turns minecraft into a completely new game. Or you could use the JJThunderToTheMax datapack to generate insane terrain, but you will need the y=2032 mod for that

Yeah Terralith is AWESOME. This was a random seed except I loaded the spawn on like 5 or 6 of them just to look around. It wasn't the prettiest (probalby the red tree/autumn one was) but the floating island got it. Such a cool world!

Yeah I would love to make a series out of this - I just need there to be interest. Even WITH the 100 days so far it's kicked off a bit slowly. If it picks up I'll do a series on it as it's super fun. And I agree X Days is a bit old now but what's the "new" meta replacing it? The only thing I see is "hating on Minecraft" and I can't do that one. I really love the game still.

Any way to view the seed map for Terralith? Since the world gen is quite different from the vallina, finding structures and biomes for mobs can be vary challenging, for example a witch hut can be thousands blocks away...

The funny thing about it being modded is because it started as a datapack it's *basically* not. There are a few secrets I know about that I thought I'd save just in case I continue the world but there's a mod to disable that part of the Terralith as well, so you can actually play this as a straight datapack style vanilla world. This is super fun, though. Prob some of the most fun I have had in MC in a bit.

How do you edit settings, like in BoP and others where you could specify which biomes, how often they would show, how big the biomes would be, etc.? I'm not seeing anything in the in-game mods menu, or in the config folder. Did this author literally make a massive mod like this with zero settings???

As far as I know it doesn't have detailed settings like BoP but in the datapack version you can control which biomes appear, idk about sizes and frequencies, though. There's some info on reddit about it but it seems pretty technical/manual.

I mainly just wanted to see terralith and the other 2. I love vanilla but sometimes wish it was fresher and this was a nice, easy slip from vanilla to this. I mainly used my normal mods like replaymod, zoomify and the sodium/iris stuff. Super fun :)
