I mean, not really. Sure they might be more realistic than some, but there are things that just don't make sense about them. For instance, them being able to breath on Earth and not being killed off by diseases that they have no immunity to. How about the fact that despite coming with advanced space travel, and some pretty powerful weapons, they don't have any form of combat aircraft at the start or orbital weapons? I mean, they could literally just drop metal rods on us and it would have similar destructive power to low yield nuclear weapons, and would be pretty simple technologically. And no matter what the atmosphere and gravity is like on their home planet, they could probably develop some sort of air craft, even if it struggles in our atmosphere; however, the fact that they are totally fine breathing our air and don't appear to struggle with Earth's gravity, tells me that their home world is quite similar to ours. Oh and being quite humanoid in nature doesn't make much sense to me either. Most likely alien life will be quite different from Earthly life, even if it follows the same basic laws of biology. Honestly, these "Elves" make no sense at all.

"I survived Nuclear War" has the potential to just keep going. "I survived WWIII" will probably get a few episodes out until either the war ends or the nukes fly. "I survived the invasion" feels like it'll have the least, maybe one to three more tops. I'm hoping all three series get seen through to the end, love them all!

I would assume the US would have launched EVERY missile it could and as fast as if could to take out as many of the alien aircraft as possible before landing rather then not to save missiles for later????? That doesn't make sense to me, as what if we didn't launch 3 times the amount at first to save missiles for later to just find out that the aliens were able to take out our depots of missiles supplies......or had something that would make our now saved missiles un-operable for us to use after their first landing attempts.....since we don't know the capabilities of them and how long we could even survive, we MUST launch as many as possible and fast as possible once they come into the missiles range. This video said we took out just 74.....maybe we could have taken out 100 plus which would have obviously been better for us to fight against (less numbers) just think of all the missiles the US has and anti air capabilities.....(Not including nukes) if the US decided to say F it, we don't know what can/will happen if they get to land and we (the US) just launch literally EVERYTHING we had(not nukes) at the landing aircrafts......would it be wild to think that maybe we shot down, 140 to 200? Leaving only just over 100 rather than almost 300.....

I've read a book where it was described like next: - Big ship appeared on orbit of earth. - Ship fired a laser gun in Sahara desert and in one second created in the middle of it 'glass lake'. - Aliens told that they will do same with one big city each month until their ship won't be at least scratched. - After 10 cities with total amount of 50 millions of people were burned out and non of earth weapons were able to even reach ship surface Aliens spoken to us again: "You are now part of our galactic empire, you will receive technologies to mine planets in your solar system. We will return in 10 years and you need to provide us this list of pure materials. Percent of not gathered materials would be equal to percent of people which will be destroyed." End of book. The moral of story is that when someone is so advanced that he is able to move though galaxy than earth, which population didn't even colonize earth moon, are not even close to match their superiority.

I think its a good thing that in these types of situations there will always be battle ready civilians and ex soldiers or local combatants ready to defend due to the government drafts not taking the "injured" some prosthetics especially in the near future re-equipped for battle would form the foundations of very strong militia's for guerrilla warfare + Co-Op missions in tangent with Government/military forces against a slightly advanced alien force
