i love how the match number screen perfectly depicts his mental state throughout the challenge, as things are chaotic from match 15-79, yet he seems to still be in an alright yet tainted mental state, but after 80, shit just goes downhill real fast. numbers mean NOTHING anymore, and it's just rapidly deteriorating sanity, until 92, when he finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel, slowly but surely growing as each passing match crawls closer to the promised land of number 100. Once he reaches the promised land, all of his memories of the past 99 matches come flooding in, reminding him of all the turmoil and sheer difficulty he powered through to get to the end. The end wasn't very satisfying though, and neither was the journey. so it was pointless. but even pointless things have meaning. for example, this pointless thing is giving you MAD VIEWS right now, keep it up man!

Match 1: Remembers all settings were changed. Competent soldiers carries. Match 2: Comp is just a smaller pub. Match 3: Took long to find a match. Medic + Phlog carried. Match 4: Having 3 Heavies on your team in comp can suck. Match 5: Earrape micspammer + afk guy named [E]. Still won though. Match 6: Loss, but close match. Match 7: Both teams were clueless, but enemy was more clueless. Match 8: Low skill-floor but was able to carry as Demo. Match 9: Won again as Demo. Match 10: Setting changea in comps can cause crashes. Match 11: Terrible match causing protagonist to be livid. Match 12: 3 queues with bot or script kitty. Huge loss in the end. Match 13: Embarrassing steamroll for the enemy team. Match 14: An enemy rage-quitting causes a domino effect. 2nd queue was a steamroll. Match 15: An actual match and a really good one. Match 16 & 17: Pretty much a diceroll. Zeno is a good player, but not B4nny. Match 18: Broke the streak of losses. Enemy Medic had badluck. Match 19: Got placed in Contract Killer III. Stat/comp review. Match 20: Aimbot Hell, but the aimbotters were bad. Match 21: Same Aimbotters. Players left to invalidate the match. Next queue, first KOTH match, but more cheaters. Match 22: One sided roll from the enemy team. Match 23: Another roll. Disorganized team but still won 2 rounds. Match 24: Straight loss. Very toxic medic. Match 25: Spinbotters. Match 26: Same cheaters. After requeue: Same cheaters. Zeno tries to warn team but they didn't listen. Match 27: No one likes Turbine. Requeue: Loss, but constant counters. True potential of comp. Match 28: Zeno is forced to be the only one to constantly counterpick enemy team. First time he gets a crash in comp. Match 29: An okay CTF match. Match 30: One sided stomp from one Heavy. Match 31: Heavy 4-stack + Fists of Steel + Vaccinator Medic > Party of Aimbotters. Last point was difficult. Match 32: 3 failed queues. Time to map out when cheaters play. Next 2 matches, cheating Scout sucked REALLY bad. Match 33: Fair and balanced match. Match 34: One-sided stomp. Demoknight > Vac medic. Zeno also got a 10 killstreak. Match 35: Failed queues with aimbotters but uses info to map out cheaters. Real match was good, despite loss. Match 36: Same med and played against same team. Annoying enemy Scout. Widowmaker helps. Match 37: Standard match with really good medic. Match 38: Good with Widowmaker, but that's outweighed by bad team. Match 39: Won match. Also, [E] is toxic. Match 40: [E] was quiet and played well. Match 41: Used anti-sniper strats to win match. Match 42: Player with vac ban, Player named "script kiddie" and party of bad DH soldiers. Spy backcapped though. Match 43: Usual cheaters. Queue dodged. Afk Heavy who turns out to be an aimbotter. Match 44: Same Heavy kept ending up on his team. Real match: Scouts, Heavies and Pyros were rolled. Match 45: Uneventful roll on enemy team. Match 46: Vac Medic + Fists of Steel + Buffalo Steak Sandvich > Usual crowd of cheaters. Match 47: Close loss. Both teams had an idler. Match 48: [E] turns match 5v6, Edgelord nazi was in the match and server was being DDOS'd. Match 49: Cheater idles, likely deranking. Same strategy from Match 46. Match 50: Easy win. Stat/comp review. Match 51: Crazy roll as Heavy. Match 52: Wrangler + Mini sentry beats 3 Scouts. Match 53: Dying Turbine match. Strategic push was required against 3 Engineers. Match 54: 3 spies suck in comp. Match 55: Really good match. Frame rate was low though. Match 56: Dying server + really competent enemy player. Match 57: High ping due to Frankfurt. Level 3 Sentry > 3 Pyros, Kritz Med, 1 Spy and 1 Soldier. Match 58: Really good match in Gorge. Match 59: 2 Meds can be very strong. Player gets over 1000 ping. Match 60: Zeno was forced to stick with Heavy. Also, P2W doesn't exist in Tf2. Match 61: Embarrassing roll on enemy team. Match 62: Enemy team has 2 Demoknights, Pyro and Spy. A Heavy can help against this. Match 63: Aimbot schedule helps. Team sucked. Match 64: Zeno's favorite match. Match 65: New Pyro + aimbots or new players = shitshow match. Match 66: Chronic Pubbing Syndrome. Still won though. Match 67: A Vaccinator can help a lot of issues. Fast match. Match 68: Autofill bots and multiple Vaccinator Medics. Slow match. Don't overextend. Very fun match for Zeno though. Match 69: Close crazy match and teamfight. Match 70: Insane roll. Match 71: Left an aimbot match. Match 72: More Vaccinators. Match 73: Unfortunate loss. Gibus player is crazy. Match 74: Sniper idling in spawn and rage-quitting Soldier. Also, Aimbotter deranking. Match 75: Another stomp. Zeno can't wait to end the 100 matches. Stat/comp review. Match 76: Phlog Pyro complaining in VC. Match 77: Bad match: Aimbot, 5v6, Trolldier, Demoknight. Zeno really wants to finish these matches. Match 78: More aimbotters and team doesn't listen to Zeno. Match 79: Sigh of relief to no aimbotters. Lots of queues ending up on their team though. Not much of a fight in the match. Match 80: Play joins -> never readied up -> never chose a class -> never played the game. Match 81: Game crashed by panic swapping to Engineer. Match 82: Zeno stomping players. Match 83: A good match. Got to solo-cap after killing half of the enemy. Match 84: Medic constantly dying because he kept using the Amputator taunt. Eventually used medigun. Match 85: Aimbotter deranking on enemy team. Also, someone thinks a Spy is good when he really wasn't. Match 86: Fast Turbine match. Match 87: Fast Gorge match. Match 88: Uneventful Gorge match. Zeno accidentally kills himself. Match 89: Tf2 broke from queue. Rolled the enemy team afterwards. Match 90: 2nd time his team uses VC effectively. Match 91: Medic recommends someone go Pyro to counter enemy team. Someone ragequits later. Match 92: Tf2 broke again. Afterwards, Zeno was the only player to complete placements on his team and have kills. Match 93: Zeno gets sick of constantly carrying. Also, enemy team stacks meds. Match 94: Zeno gets to relax and the team that had no kills is now on the enemy team. Match 95: Another Turbine match. Pyro stalls out match but his team lets the enemy kill him. Match 96: "Another medic game, another easy roll." Cat game. Also, I like cats. Match 97: Zeno REALLY can't wait to end this all. Average comp player can't handle a Heavy. Match 98: Sick of playing Heavy but the class beats the enemy: 2 Pyros, a Demoknight, a Spy and an Engineer mid. Match 99: A random overhealed Pyro appears! Match 100: Messed up rollout, gets to match late, miss pipes, no support from med but still wins. Stats/comp review.

I assume your config force DirectX 8 or try to set a high FOV, causing TF2 to die when joining comp (when it tries to switch to DirectX 9)

I feel the “50/50 steam roll” pain so much even in casual. I place bets with the rest of my family if I join the team being steamrolled or if I join the steamrolling team it’s that bad and I absolutely hate it that I get good matches about once a month. Now I play way more ctf because if I want to play the actual game modes I’m better off getting drunk off my ass then getting in the car at 3 am and seeing if I drive into my garage or the neighbor across the street’s garage to determine who wins. Not that 2fort is perfect because there’s always a few sweats who have to prove their dick size by tryharding in 2fort and then they proceed to yell at me for sweating after I go engineer whilst they go heavy with a kritz and vax medic but at the very least the salt is funny.

I've played a lot of koth and specifically viaduct in 6's (one of the reasons it's a choice on MGE servers), real competitive tf2, and it was a blast. To see it like this makes me so sad, but I'm happy that someone is out there trying... thanks for this vid!
@TombomOfficial Жыл бұрын
your console command said issued too many commands to server when you're crashing, I used to have this issue when I would spam the "weapon switch" command via my bind settings in the game (kind of like binding jump to your scroll wheel), and it would overload the server so.... yeah. you can ddos servers with... commands... tf2 is weird.

Weird. Maybe I broke my Engineer config or something. I'll look into it, thank you!

amazing video it was really interesting to see how the tf2 meta would develop without bans and in a lower-skilled environment. idk what kind of masochism this is but it’s easily more than i could ever handle. the patience and willpower you put in to this is INSANE. easily subbed after this btw first time hearing cruelty squad ost in a tf2 video, super based song choices B)

here is some sort of a hot take . if Valve comp was more like pub but with teams that want to win . it could have worked . yes , more serious quickplay can be nice . tho i hate 5 cp , so i wish we had PL in it . Edit: with it being 9v9 . and for people who want to go for the next level , they go to the community comp . Edit 2 : i didn't even know it had PL . that tells you how much i played . i miss quickplay :/

Tbh I found myself wishing the entire time it was just 6v6 casual lmao

@@zenoooooo I know this will not work because not many play comp but having 5cp comp and PL comp being separate . afterall , there is a reasons why highlander and 6 comps is a thing . tho as i am watching the video . I realized how much PL sucks for 6 player . btw . i appreciate that you replying to me and others in the comments :)

I noticed even after 81 matches, not once have I seen you advance to a new rank It is nigh impossible to take this gamemode as seriously as possible the way valve wanted it to be

IIRC I had two rank contender matches to rank back into T3 during all of this but I lost both of them.
