As i recall, a chicken from a baby zombie would not lay any egg. He might be cheating. I m gonna to do an experiment on this. I waited for 20 min, and Smashlike laid no egg, while he should have laid every 5-10 min. A normal chicken nearby made 3. My game verson is 1.16.4. You could silk touch the grass blocks on the island to spawn passive mobs like sheep and cows for trades with the weaver and leatherworkers respectively, butchers would take meat, although that’s likely not worth it since food. Apples are a tier 2 trade if I remember so gold apples are possible with farmers and a little off camera.

you can get another trident and enchant it with ripitide, which boosts you when your in the water. Although you can't put loyalty on the trident, basically it won't come back to you.
