I said this in RCEs stream today but im pretty sure even without playingand discovering more lore that the robots arent invadeders but perhaps terraformers instead. They match what you would see if the flora was co-habitable but not the fuana. Wich alien animals could pose more of a challenge on foreign planets that the plant life. Simply because they have a more complex biological system than plants do.
