@@pixelponderingI think it's more like "c'mon". Lana says it right after Mui comes back to life. She says something along the lines of "Let's go home, Mui. C'mon". And again at the very end when she invites Mui to join her and her sister while sitting on the cliff.

I had the feeling that the original ship where humans arrived actually crashed. Like it had the plan to get there but it didn't go as planned. Also, it possible that the AI took control while they were traveling to the planet. I mean, it's really weird that after 3 human captains, the last was a machine. Also I think that the pods were actually escape pods and some (like the old guy in the desert) managed to escape before the crash. He literally couldn't land it (it's upside down!). I think all the humans in the planet are the descendants of the people that either survived the crash or managed to escape in the pods. The drawings on the caves seemed like a way of never forgetting how they got there. What I missed is that at the end, you're actually fighting the AI god of the drawings! So thanks for that! Great video :)

I think Mui is actually a child helper bot/pet probably at one point helped to build independence while also building social skills. Really love this game, just beat it recently and im trying to go for that Flawless achievement!

@damara2268 I saw other creatures that appear to be like Mui hiding in the rocks at the start of the game and they appeared to be organic. This is a game universe unlike our own (not true to real life Earth) and I felt it was possible that even living creatures could have a connection to the machine world. But I could be wrong. It would definitely explain why she was rejected by the grinding machine (I'd assumed she was rejected because she was from Earth, not Novo).

during the game i always had a feeling that the machines weren't wrong i tought that Novo was going to have some disaster and the robots actually trying to save us. But yeah i think yout vision is right and thats why some humans go to Novo beacuse Earth probably was realy bad in the future making them chose a simple life to not destroy the world.

Something I found off is that when Lana or Mui got accidentally discovered by a sentinel robot (not controlled by the bracelet but instead by the mothership ) they zaps her and she either dies or goes unconscious. Can someone explain that to me 🤔

From my understanding, I believe the “bright flash” drawing is meant to be a map showing the location of a star, similar to the map on the Golden Disk of the Voyager probe that shows where our star is.

Why? There isn't any reason from anyone from Earth to do that. At most they would come over, find out what happened, and establish trade relations if they feel so inclined.

@@andresmarrero8666 why not, we don't know what they will or won't do. It's fiction anyway so it can be anykind of fictional reason for them to do so. Also for trade to be possible the human from this planet need to have something that human from Earth want and they don't.

@@henrynguyen5343 because there is no logical reason for them to do so. In the given scenario they came to figure out what happened to the machines. Once they find out they would leave because their objective would be complete. The people there are no longer of earth and cannot be forced to be.

Para mi es asi: claramente la aeronave que iba desde el planeta tierra al planeta Nova se estrella, no aterriza bien propiamente dicho, y logró mandar algún mensaje a la tierra o la misma falta de contacto hace que sepan que algo salió mal, por eso desde la tierra mandan las máquinas en una misión de rescate (en el principio del juego se ve como vienen desde el espacio, no se encontraban en el planeta), por eso no les hacen daño como ya dices. En esta misión de rescate agarran a todos los seres humanos y utilizan a los animales que encuentren para hacer alimentos para todo el viaje, una vez terminen con todas las tareas despegarían nuevamente hacia el planeta tierra. Claramente estos viajes tardan muchísimos años, por eso pasan tantas generaciones en el planeta Nova hasta que llegan las máquinas. Y tambien los humanos en Nova, de generaciones posteriores a los que aterrizaron, estan como en la prehistoria al perder toda la tecnologias que tenian y sin saber nada de su pasado perdido. Otra cosa, la tecnología de las maquinas y de los humanos de la tierra es la misma, eso te lo da a entender claramente, por ende se deduce eso mismo, que las maquinas vienen desde el mismo lugar que de los colonizadores de Nova, desde el planeta Tierra. Lo otro que quiero destacar es que los que llegan al planeta Nova no son los que despegaron en la Tierra. Estos viajes deben ser de muchos años como ya dije, por eso la nave tenía de todo, para llevar una vida "normal". Los que llegan al planeta Nova deben ser descendientes de los que despegaron desde la Tierra, mínimo una generación nació en el espacio. Me parece excelente historia!!!

I like how the story slowly evolves from "okay it's just evil alien robots" to "oh, they are OUR robots. I guess its rogue AI or something" to eventually "oh... wait, they actually love us (the robot still holding the dead baby) and we love them too (Mui. Pictures of us holding their hands. Other Mui's with children)". The robot holding the skeleton of the dead baby had no damage or reason to be disabled. I think it shut itself down out of grief :( In the end we find that Mui is actually half machine too. It's not a tired "robots are scary" story, its a story about how we lived and prospered as equals with them.

I actually didn't make the connection that Mui was a robot, too, until a few others commented about it and it makes so many things make sense...particularly in the way the other robots actually cared for the other humans. I think that one holding the dead baby just sat there until it's power ran out...doing it's job until it just shut down. I think this was a fantastic spin on the idea of robots overrunning humanity. They did it not because they were corrupted but because they cared.

Ths reminds me of old rts game that called homeworld deserts of kharak but it set in desert rather than forests there aren't some robots but you have to fight realigous fanatic that HATE SPACE TRAVEL

Their is one thing confusing with the story, the crashed human ship is overgrown by vegetation, it must took ages or even century for vegitation to takeover the whole ship but a survivor (old man in the dessert) managed to survive throughout this years

I wondered about that too but then decided that this is an alien planet so we don't exactly know how vegetation works in this world. The animals were filled with a green substance instead of red so this world definitely doesn't work the same way as Earth does.

He likely was one of the children seen in the picture when it crashed. Probably crashed with his parents, who are now gone. He's probably 80 now, so that should be enough time for vegetation to take over inside a jungle where it crashed. There are pictures today of Chernobyl with buildings overgrown with vines and trees and that was only about 40 years ago.

Earth is still around. It is likely where the robots come from in the game. The spaceship in the swamp is where it crashed when it landed. The old man was on that ship and it's where Lana's people come from.

Ty for this video, just wanted to know the story but while the game is beautiful it's so, so boring gameplay-wise and repetitive. What a disappointing hour I spent holding left stick in a walking/crawling simulator.
