I guess I won the lottery. I started having symptoms on April 19 and then got a positive test result for COVID-19 back on April 24. Here's the story.

Hey all, I made this video for my friends who asked about my experience because I was the first one in their immediate circle to get COVID-19. I NEVER expected to get this many views. My story is an example of what a MILD case is like. MILD means you recover at home, not at the hospital. My doctor called/texted me everyday to check on my condition. MODERATE to SEVERE is at the hospital. My late 30's coworker was moderate. He stopped breathing for a few seconds at home. He had pneumonia and ended up at the hospital for 10 days. He is all back to normal health now. This is video was only about the first two weeks. It took four additional weeks following this video upload for me to get back to normal. I would work from home for two hours and then feel hot, fatigued, and brain fogged, and go back to bed. Slowly, I would be able to work for four hours, then five hours, six hours, eight hours, etc. So it was after six weeks for me to get back to 12-14 waking hours, no naps. I'm getting a lot of questions about medicine. There is no medicine. I took Tylenol on day 1 but after being refused a test, I stopped taking Tylenol to see if my temperature would ever go above 100.3F. It never did. I just slept a lot, ate porridge 2-3x per day, drank LOTS of water, Gatorade, and honey/lemon/ginger green tea for my throat.

You are young which prompted me to think while listening to your talk, that every event we go through in life adds to our repertoire of experiences, which little by little produces ‘the wisdom of years’, if we learn something from them. One day waaaay in the future your grandchildren may even be interested to hear your story of when you went through the big pandemic in 2020 (the olden days) and how you got the virus yourself. I also wanted to be cheeky and say, I think you need to teach that husband of yours how to cook! Even if it’s just basic survival cooking - lol! Glad you are feeling much better.

Wow, I was shocked to hear this. You are one of a few people I know who got it. One person and his wife got it by going to a dinner party in EARLY March (he got it before most), there were 30 people at the dinner party and 18 people got it- that's how contagious it was. He calls it a "really bad flu" as was his experience. Some people get it worse than others. BE CAREFUL not to go back to work full speed as I have heard of people who fall back into the sickness again a second time. Take care!

What a nice discovery, finding your finance channel here. I just checked out your ORGANIZE video, and found the practical info very useful, especially the file template. Apparently, the algorithm for COVID19 lead me here, since I had the virus back in January, and thankfully recovered without requiring medical intervention. But as you correctly point out, this virus is a brutal attack on the body. Even after recovering from the respiratory attack, which was like having the most horrible smoker's cough ever, that lasted weeks, the body aches linger for months after. I mean like 3 or 4 months. The silver lining is, of course, that once you have it, then you have natural immunity. I think the reason that people get very ill and end up in the hospital from this is that they treat the symptoms too soon, trying to feel better right away, while in the process unwittingly allowing the virus to dig in. For example, taking a cough suppressant, when the lungs are trying to fight it off by coughing like crazy. Or taking medication to reduce fever, when the body is trying to burn off the virus before it spreads. In my case, I did not take any medications at all, not even an aspirin. I cooked lots of veggies, including rice, potatoes, and greens, and drank lots of hot vegetable broth from the steamed veggies and got lots of rest at home. I'm sure that had I gone to the hospital and subjected myself to conventional treatment, which almost certainly includes a barrage of drugs and maybe even the infamous deadly ventilator hookup, there would probably be a one in ten chance that I'm here now to write this! Thanks again for sharing your experience. I think it's good to help demystify "the invisible enemy" for everyone else.

Since it was so hard to get tested (and since there are people who never develop symptoms at all), the 50,000 number is surely a severe under-count of the actual number of cases which is probably many times the number of positive tests. I'm glad you're better now.

Good to see you recovered. Knowing how bad things could develop, it's perfectly fine to be nervous about how it would progress. The incubation period can take over 14 days so it's hard to know where one picked it up if symptoms start developing after that time....which is what makes it so contagious. Remember that the small number "positive test cases" recorded compared to the population are highly suspect because they haven't ramped up testing to allow "walk in tests" yet. Look at the resistance you had to endure when you first tried, and you still needed your doctors consent form to get the drive through test. The actual numbers must be much higher than what is being reported. You're cute and funny...at 26, you have no regrets.......at 26, you still have the LIONS share of life ahead of you!! 😁

Back in December I had woken up at like 6 am thinking I was cold because I couldn’t stop shaking, so I turned my heater on and then stayed in bed for 2 hours before. Had to leave for work, during the drive to work picking up clients I started feeling really weird like never I felt before and I said I’m going. Home and I went home and during the drive home I had massive body aches that hurt and I had to continue driving and as soon as I got Home I started vomiting bad every 30 mins for 8 hours and by the end of the day my stomach was so cramped and in pain like never before, went to the er and the doc said my white blood cell count was 25k 2x as much as normal thinkin it’s a virus so I did a ct scan and it showed up with nothing! So I got sent home and for a week I had no appetite, I didn’t have shortness of breath and I don’t remember a fever but during the first day I was hot and cold very easy! I lost 8 pounds in 3 days! Normally takes me 2-3 days to recover and it took me over a week! So I don’t know what happened, I live in Napa valley and do deliveries so I’m in contact with people who are around tourist a lot! It was horrible. So I don’t know if I had Covid but I had so many of the symptoms aside from shortness of breathe

I’ve had all those symptoms for the past week, I had quit smoking 2 months prior so I thought that maybe it was some aftershock of nicotine withdrawals. I think the worst night was 3 night ago. I woke up COVERED in sweat but what was hella weird was that the AC was on and I was shivering. So I got super spooked and jumped into the shower and set it on hot, hot enough to REALLY feel it you know? And nothing, even in the shower with quite hot water showering down my body, I was still shivering. I shivered all the way through the bath, while I dried myself, while I got dressed and even after turning off the ac and turning on the heat IN JULY MIND YOU, I was still shivering. I started getting super scared, and I was already suffering from shortness of breath at the time so mixed with the prior nicotine withdrawals I was prone to anxiety and panic attacks. I thought this was it, I’m gonna die here in my bed at 22 without having the daughter I always dreamed of having. My dads voice came into my head and did what he always told me to do when if I was feeling dazed and confused. So I grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol and rubbed it all over my face and breathed in through my nose until it dried off of my face. Woke me right the fuck up and I was in control enough to think about calming down and not hyperventilate, it would’ve gone bad had I started doing so. But honestly the scariest part is the thought of me getting any of my family members infected. I’m not doing too bad but they’re at least twice my age, and I don’t know how I could live knowing I lived through it but cost the life of either my parents or my younger siblings. I’d rather it take mine. I’m also going to link a video of a doctor which helped me with the shortness of breath one night ago when I thought I might suffocate in my sleep.

That's kind of what happened to me hmm. Back in January 2020, I got very sick on Saturday that I slept the whole day. Friday I have no sign of feeling sick except kind of cold since I was on shorts and t-shirt and it was cold and I did play basketball at night and was already feeling kind of tired and weak (but I always play). I woke up at 2pm to eat something and then went back to sleep because I was cold and wanted to sleep and eat again at 8pm and shower and went back to sleep. I literally slept for 20 hours and was sweating a bit and feeling very cold. I am known to still be able to work when I am sick, but fatigue is the worse feeling. But the next day (Sunday), I felt very energetic and was ready for a run (not sure is it because of the 20 hours sleep or the foods I ate. I literally stuck my mouth with bunch of sweet pastries for lunch on Saturday since it was easy to eat and for dinner just a small meal since I was losing appetite, but I decided to rest up and just go for a walk and play some pokemon go. I felt like I was brand new so I went back to work on Monday. I did go to Kaiser to do some testing a week before, so I don't know if I got sick from basketball or Kaiser visit or just from bart. I suggest, Covid was already around USA back in December or Jan 2020 hmm and I might have something like that. And I had some signs of a flu or covid back then. I never felt that way kinda.

I noticed that you did notice yourself coming down with something in the beginning but sort of brushed it off, which everyone has done before, because of work and life responsibilities. Would you say that knowing now how contagious COVID-19 is, and having it, in the future would you be more cautious about staying home when you're starting to not feel well?
@AnnieMargaritaYang
@AnnieMargaritaYang 4 жыл бұрын
Yep, I would stay home in the future. I'm so used to working jobs where you're forced to come in when you're sick, so I was just on autopilot.

@aurielle112
@aurielle112 4 жыл бұрын
Right now no one knows how long antibodies persist, but recent evidence has been showing that it may only last for a few months. Although you can have long-lasting T-cell immunity (the other side of the immune system - it's not all just antibodies), but that's not been thoroughly studied.

Did you ever loose taste and smell? I’m on day 8 and still can’t smell or taste anything. No cough, no shortness of breath, no sore throat, or fever. I had horrible sinus congestion and sinus headaches. Body aches, and fatigue. No other symptoms but I did test positive for Covid-19.

A few years ago, I injured my leg and found myself off work for like three months. Just like you said, you really find out who’s there for you and who isn’t. My father was absolutely awesome! He drove me around to doctor’s appointments and physical therapy appointments, and picked up anything l needed. Some of my friends and coworkers reached out to me as well, which l appreciated. However, my brother, who stays with my father 90 percent of the time, not one time during the three months, did he think to ask me if l needed any help during that time. (This is someone who could use your channel because he and his family, never have any money because they spend it stupidly)! For years, I would give him money for car repairs, bills, mortgage payments, you name it because he never has anything! Once l got better and l got back to normal, all of that stopped! I now only give my father money, on a steady basis, because he’s retired and on a fixed income. But, now, l give him extra! Anyway, I’m really glad you’re getting better. I’m going to buy your book by the end of this week. I get paid on Friday and will have some extra moolah in there so l can order your book. Thanks for all of your wonderful videos!

Your story is exactly what I experienced... I have a colleague who I try to stay extremely nice to, even though she doesn't have the best attitude. After I caught COVID-19.... absolute silence from her about me getting sick, and no response to my texts and emails, but she would email me asking me to do work everyday. Even after I got better, she only texted me to get some free masks. SMH. No regrets though because now you know people's true colors and how to deal with them. Thank you for buying my book Cheryl!

røb. I think I had it way back in November/December! I was on and off sick for like three months! I would get better, then right when l thought I was getting back to normal, l would get sick again. I went to my doctor and got antibiotics, which did absolutely nothing for me. Then all of a sudden, I just got back to normal. It’s only fairly recently that experts are saying they think the virus was around and active months before we were really aware of it. All l know is that if l start to present any of the symptoms, l’m going to try homeopathic remedies to try and stave things off!

I’m staying home from work today because I woke up with a 99.9 fever too. I’m a petite person and my body temp runs a bit low, so 99.9 was uncomfortable to me. I feel okay right now other than some aches in my legs and arms, and a headache in my temples that feels like sinus pressure.
