Thank you so much for talking about Día de los muertos not many people talk much about it and it made me happy btw your pronunciation was on point! Small fact día de los muertos lasts 2 days, November 1st and 2nd. The first day is dedicated supposedly for children who passed on and the second day for adults. Indeed Now modernly in Mexico we do celebrate Halloween but that just depends on the person, usually on Halloween you see so many people make parties and some small festivals/carnivals. Where I live many celebrate both (I do too), I love how when I go to the main plaza lots of people put up small flea shops and you can find almost anything, last minute costumes, food, makeup and stuff for the Ofrendas. My favorite thing is when you smell the altar flowers and the incense, I just feel so in peace and exited to see the colours and lights that'll fill the night. If you ever have the chance try to eat some Pan de muerto, bread of the dead it has a few weird funky versions of its backstory but all in all it's just yummy bread (very addicting too haha). A day of the dead altar/offerings is never complete without the bread. I know Halloween and día de los muertos is still a few months to come but I always get excited for autumn and it's celebrations. If anyone knows more than I do and actual full facts good for you, that's awesome!! 💙💙

@@Tootsie22 thanks! i hope you have a great halloween to! and you could try celebrate día de muertos to (ah because we say "día de muertos", a side note). if you have someone who you want to remember that day, you can do it, even if it's a pet. don't get distracted if someone says "it is offensive", it is not ofensive. As a mexican i can speak for everyone saying that we are happy to share our tradition. althought, you should take a look at the days 'cause i think it's a different date for pets... a quick look on google gave me the answer that i didn't know XD but the "ofrenda" is the same for everyone. you can start putting it today and left it until, let's say, november the 5th. You put the pictures of everyone you want to remember, and on the specific date you remember them. there are more advices to give but a quick look at the google's image section could give you a clue. just put "ofrenda con cempasuchil" and you'll have it. n.n
