While this channel always brings me a smile, it also makes me reflect on my own cynicism and paranoia towards strangers. Dahmer has been mentioned several times in this series, and it goes to show how easily our confidence and faith in others can be stripped away.

For real though. That was one of the big takeaways from the trip for us. So many people brought up shows like Dahmer or the news,, as to why they wouldn't trust a stranger. But then the stranger who let us stay with them in NY (Jay) said that he was open to us because he had watched documentaries about stories similar to this one. The stories you consume really have an impact on your perspective of the world

I think slowly watching this channel I'm understanding what human connection is in my own way, for me it's acknowledging that each car that drives by us or each family having dinner at a restaurant is a separate human being each with their own story and even if we don't get to know them we still understand that each human on earth has a life of their own, struggles of their own or a great story of overcoming things that we may never get to hear Sometimes on big trips like driving to an airport or just traveling cities I like to look out the car window and think about the people I pass and how wild and different their life is to mine

Literally cried i love this thank you guys so much i saw this on suggested felt very relivent, gave an old man in a beautiful 63 Cadillac coupe deville a jump start this morning as i tried to wrap the cords up and close my hood he tried handing me the last of his cash, in awe of the stories we shared in those few minutes i felt more than enough to make my day i told him "absolutely not, no not a chance you keep that, thank you for your time and fact of the matter is i wouldnt be here right now if it wasnt for someone elses kindness as i locked my keys in my car a day ago" and told him my name and he told me his shook hands and went our own ways, these moments restore humanity. It's definitely a scary thing for both parties, to put themselves in such a vulnerable position but you can always see how much of a strong bond in such a short time that it forms.
